Hearing Agaetis Byrjun made me stop just listening to what was on the radio and start expanding my taste in music
This album ended my "le wrong generation" phase

Kill yourself pleb
My mom would play a Bob Dylan greatest hits album in the car as she drove me home from school
it was probably the first music I actually liked
It makes me happy when I listen to it

ITS YOUEAHOOOO
Most important middle school band for me.
Ended my Warped tourcore phase.

You are literal trash who wouldn't know good music if it walked up to you and smacked you in the face.
>>53699257
This made me look forward to music.
Got me into weirder and better stuff
>>53699379
>what are different tastes
Was young when this was released and didn't have much money to buy music. Would never have bothered listening if I hadn't been able to pay nothing for it. Very glad I did as it opened up my eyes to what music outside top40

There is no way to 'rate' music in a factual scientific way.

Everything he likes is good and everything he dislikes is bad. Completely objective.

the "my opinion is objective truth" meme that is omnipresent in this place
>>53699805
I don't think /mu/ is the place for you
>>53699830
I don't know why people get so upset here, it's obvious that we're just cockteasing/teasing whatever women have instead of cocks.
>>53699830
And you're right. I hate the way people deal with things here especially the usage of the word "meme" to describe anything that is not totally obscure. I only come here to find music that might interest me that I haven't heard of.

nice hivemind opinion
I was 17, it was spring, I'd just started drinking with my bros. We'd drive around chilling out. I listened to a lot of sigur ros aphex twin and radiohead, but pretty much shit besides that. A girl gave me this album saying I'd like it, and right as those sweeping chords opened up the album, I was launched into a genre of music I never knew existed.
Set me into metal
Without it i'd still probably think metal is for angsty teenagers
Just behind comes filosofem that made me like BM

This
Ok Computer made me discover that music can be about much more than just putting on an impressive show for other people.
made me realize how much good music I must be missing out on
>>53699440
I'm listening to it for the first time right now
Pic related is probably the record who impressed me the most at first listens.
Yeah I know fuck me for not naming a single album, but there's 120 of them. Anyway, this guys music.
The King of Limbs and Lucky Shiner were the first experimental anything I had ever listened to. Before I was just a dad rock pleb along with Eminem and shitty brostep. Once I heard those two albums tho my whole perception of music changed and I got into more experimental music. Then during this past summer I started listening heavily to Person Pitch and Replica and it totally changed how I think about music in relation to sampling
