I'm not at umntc so I can't really say much about its program. I'm at Texas A&M, but I think CS is great. More advice, one main thing to understand is that CS is not just coding. Its a whole new way of thinking. The one disadvantage is the weird people it attracts. Most just are in it because of game design. Like previously mentioned, most people have no idea what it entails. My ex gf thought CS was IT and thought I was learning about antivirus software and shit.
I digress, but I hope you love it as much as I do.

Alright here's a tip. I got an A in the class and learned nothing. Do the Snap! labs but then save them. It saves to your cookies so as long as you don't delete your history it'll be fine. then when he tests you just open up your save file and show him. Also on the written tests, just write a lot. It doesn't have to mean anything but he's too lazy to actually read anything so he'll just give the points.

Yeah, that's Bapst. It's a beautiful place but it's really intimidating because it's always so quiet that just the sound of moving a chair to start studying gets all eyes on you. The campus is pretty great though, I agree (aside from like 3 buildings)

I've got a couple friends who go to Northeastern and I've been in two of the dorms but I don't think I've ever actually been on the campus itself. Good place though according to my friends

If you can take a compiler class hop on that shit. It's not always a mandatory class. For some reason compilers have this reputation as being really low level and nitty-gritty. But they're actually really elegant and beautiful in a formal systems kind of way, but still concrete because like you have to take and output real things at the end of the day.
