Well, it's not mine because I don't make music. just find it interesting with this kind of music it's either RDJ or it's shit. Why not compare it to squarepusher, jodey kendrick, macc doghn, steinvord, wisp, or any other Rephlex artist? Is it just simpler since those artists seemingly fall under the RDJ umbrella too?
>>
>>53515137
aphex was arguably the first to make it his signature sound, hence the comparisons

the artists you listed happen to make music which is closer to aphex's style than the track you linked to and/or at the very least make their own unique thing while also boasting significant influence. the track in >>53514480 is neither a decent tribute to RDJ's music nor a unique thing on it's own.

>The archaic law has loomed over Japan's nightlife scene since 1948. Though only occasionally enforced, it states that dancing in public venues is illegal without a special license—and even then the license is only allowed until midnight.

>"The biggest thing that will change in this law is that you can now dance at night," says Kenji Kosaka, a member of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP). "Visitors from overseas would come here to Japan and they'd wonder why they can't dance, even though you can dance at night anywhere overseas."

the compromise is that, when this does come into effect, clubs have to keep all the lights on

>>
>>53516224
I'm the guy that lived there.

It's already been answered by others but to add to that the Japanese are generally reserved and introverted, they're just not that much fun to party with.

And yeh, drugs are SUPER illegal and expensive there which doesn't help matters.
>>
>>53516326
>>53516303

It's probably just an archaic law they haven't removed because nobody really enforces it. There are tons of laws like that in the US which aren't enforced but are still there

>Can't walk around with an apple in your back pocket
>can't eat ice cream on sundays

etc

I seriously doubt it is outright "illegal" to dance in Japan, and more than likely the law is "enforced" by clubs that simply don't want to deal with the youth. Talking out of my ass in that last paragraph btw

It's kinda sad and funny to see somebody with such a narrow view of what "club music" is. Even the term "club music" is retarded because it implies club culture is a homogeneous thing around the world. What makes /bleeps/ threads good is that you can find a lot of new/interesting music from around the world, or even from other eras, that you didn't know existed in the club environment. I don't come here to cream over Basic Channel releases or w/e.

What do you think of Rodz-Konez?
I found a label pack on rutracker after having listened to Makaton's collab with Olga+Jozef. Seems to be full of old school, borderline autistic, fast and heavy techno releases, like I sometimes dig them.
Lots of them may have aged pretty badly tho, and god their cover arts are cheesy.

nah the only times you get ridiculous queues are when you are either downloading a new #hype album, or if its some very rare and obscure bleeps, which soulseek is much better at than what.cd

slsk started out as a bleeps sharing programs. I don't have a what.cd but I seriously doubt they are even close to slsk when it comes to obscure/old bleeps
>>
>>53517749
The possibility of what.cd having obscure bleeps that Soulseek does not is the only thing that makes it attractive to me.
>>
>>53517749
>which soulseek is much better at than what.cd
>I don't have a what.cd

lmao butthurt about not being on what.cd "it's not very good anyway"

would've invited you tbh
>>
>>53517808
how do invites work?
>>
>>53517799
what are the things that make it unattractive except getting in

New UK based label Cosmic Pint Glass.

get invited, skip the interview
>>
>>53517826
members get an invite and send one via email to whoever they want to invite
>>
>>53517827
>>53517827
Passing the interview like you said (yeah I'm this lazy), and I fear that with my crappy as hell internet connection, I won't be able to maintain a correct ratio.

If I was to receive an invite from someone, I'd be very glad, but I fear what I just mentioned before.

whens your next release wp

>lmao butthurt about not being on what.cd

oh yes so mad I can't download #hype releases that will be on slsk 3 days later lmao

>>53517799

you're probably wrong in that regard. Like I said, slsk probably has a much better selection of old/obscure bleeps that what.cd.

yeah but that's not what it's good for. you're so pathetic you'll get into an argument defending something against something you know nothing about, rather than be willing to learn

i've used both what.cd and soulseek over the years and i'll take what.cd any day of the week
>>
>>53517731
Not home atm might make one later

>you don't have to deal with seeding on what.cd if you don't want to
>you don't have to be interviewed if you get an invite (like i was going to do for you)
>lots of obscure and trve club music on what
>lots of hard to find shit

as i say, unlike you i've used both and i prefer what.cd (also we have relatively similar tastes, it seems). keep blinding defending something against something you've proven you know nothing about, though

just listen to gabber/breakcore or something equally frantic. j-core is fucking awful
>>
>>53519337

You'll only really like it if you like UK Hardcore/Happy Hardcore/Gabber.

I mean, J-Core isn't actually a genre of music, it's just UK Hardcore/Hardcore/Hard House with anime vocal samples.

The japs make some cool Makina though.

>>53519411
what is the gabber lifestyle
>>
>>53519547
you may hate this, some of the Thunderdome stuff can get mad cheesy, but there's some serious gems inside their mixes

also, speedcore, specifically french stuff
