Any of you guys use Bitwig Studio? I've been hearing good stuff from its users.
>>
>>53385168
it's the exact same thing as ableton that's why
>>
>>53385247

minus track grouping (lel) and it has loljava under the hood (LOL)
>>
>>53385268
>minus track grouping
oh wow lol, no wonder nobody seems to really care about bitwig

I've recently discovered the wonders of rutracker, what software should I not buy?
>>
https://clyp.it/3dgygrx1
I'm pretty confident in the chord progression and overall vibe, but I have no idea how to arrange electronic music like this. Any tips to stretch this out into a full song?
>>
>>53385268
>loljava
Pls go with your /g/ memes
>>53385168
It'll be better than Ableton once they reach feature parity, in my opinion
>>
>>53385877
This is pretty nice, maybe a little to mud range, just a very tiny bit. Might be just me. As far as stretching it out, just try to write another part. Or maybe take a single layer of that part and write something different over it in the same key.
>>
>>53385877
>https://clyp.it/3dgygrx1
put some more high end freq in it. it'd make it sound more "there" ya know? i feel like its to distant.
>>
>>53385679
All of it.
>>
>>53385042
Is this the ultimate compliment?
>>
>>53385963
>>53385965
Nah there's definitely mud, I haven't bothered with mixing it at all yet. Do you think adding high end would make it stand up stronger? because right now I feel like anything past a minute and a half is repetitive, but maybe more presence would make it more compelling.
>>
>>53386097
your clyp > subtract layers (drop) > clyp+new track with high end making it sound like a dif part.
>>
>>53384940
Give it a couple of quiet layers to fill it out, increase the lengths of the plucks a little, give the drums some meat, and you've got something good. This is the part where a field recorder and some ambient samples would be helpful.

>>
>>53386631
what's music theory got to do with reviewing music?
>>
>>53386211
what should I do about quiet layers is there a popular thing to do? are these things that should be at all audible or just like pseudo filler? Or could I just add something like another tape hiss..

>>
>>53387098

do you honestly think that running on the jvm isn't going to introduce latency and other issues?
>>
man..when i make a track 90% of the time i'm just listening to it on repeat while i cruise the internet. like i make one part and spend a day listening to it then next day add a little more and spend the rest of the day listening to it; rinse and repeat. i never finish a track cause i get tired of hearing it after a week. it's a bitch tryna work myself to actually work on a song all day rather then just making on synth and melody and calling it a day. anyone else have this problem?
>>
>>53387419
every track has an eq thrown on either to eliminate lows, boost them, or raise the high end
>>
>>53387476
incredible. maybe its your rendering?
