>why is /bleep/ so shit now
It's because back then nearly all posters had always posted, if you see what I mean. Originally /mu/ largely ignored these threads, but as time went on, more and more 'outside' posters began to pick up on /bleep/. Nowadays more than half of the people in any one thread are relatively new, and so haven't yet sussed out what /bleep/ is about. Whereas previously it was pretty easy to educate and assimilate the low number of new posters, nowadays the sheer volume makes this nigh on impossible. The result is that the overall posting quality is reduced and /bleep/'s self-identity becomes diluted. The most important effect is that veteran posters become cynical and reactionary; helpful and educational replies to newbies are supplanted by dismissive mockery and the eventual developmemt of an 'us vs them' dynamic, typified by the petty 'pardners vs chavs' shitfllinging you've seen over the last few months. Obviously, 4chan being 4chan, this simply invites further arguments, trolling and counter-trolling. Whether from aggrieved newbies who've been told to fuck off one too many times, belligerant OG /bleep/ers or genuine opportunistic trolls, the volume of shitposting becomes so high that many don't even attempt decent conversation, seeking refuge in plug.dj rooms or only posting at slower times of the day. This makes it even easier for external trolls , and even more importantly homegrown ones, to take over and destroy any semblence of a cohesive community.

Fortunately there is a solution, and it's not only simple but it's also one that's been around for so long that it should be ingrained;
>make quality posts, and ignore shitposting
>>
how you guys liking the new releases on lobster theremin?
>>
what types of posters are "pardners" and "chavs" meant to represent?

pardners are non club going americans posting non-bleep related "intellectual" electronic music?

and chavs are club going, drug taking brits that only care about what "bangs" in a club environment?

surely /bleep/ is meant to be for the chavs then?
>>
>>53347436
tl:dr - muh clubs
>>
>>53347436
>and even more importantly homegrown ones, to take over and destroy any semblence of a cohesive community
i agree tbh, the OG posters seem to shitpost more than the newfigs, it's like pissing on your own living room carpet
>>
we got a nice thing going with plug dj. Would be nice to see more people hop in but I'm also afraid of nextlevel shitposting like these threads have been the last few weeks

Any man wanna plug tn?
>>
>>53347508
Obviously the origin is brits and yanks, but you're missing the point; it's about the unnecessary stereotyping of each by the other. Originally /bleep/ shared a common identity largely defined by not being /mu/, whereas we've polarised ourselves to fall into two broad camps that pretend to share nothing in common .
>>
Who is the best DJ you've seen live this year?
Where was it?
How was the club?
>>
in a way it's inevitable because dance music has always been really tribal

i was just talking to a mate about the old Oscillate vs House Of God days in Bham and it was the same shit then, only it was people talking shit and not posting it

thing is club music's always been a ton of competing scenes and if these threads sometimes highlight those differences that doesn't mean it has to tip over into shitposting
>>
should i buy a juno 1 or FM8

yo clubbers how much you spend on a average clubnight

>entrance price 10-15 eu
15 is a special price
> locker 2eu
>toilet 2 eu for the whole day

and thats it maby like another 5-10 euro for drinks.
>>
>>53349019
I spent like 170€ a week ago but it was a special occasion.
Usually it's more like 40-50€ per night out.
>>
>>53349019
I usually blow around a hundred a night.
It's not as bad as it sounds.
>>
>>53349019

>hey anon you're cute. Wanna buy me a Cosmopolitan?
>>
>>53349480
No, get some taste you stupid cunt.
>>
>>53349019
probably like
£6 on pre drinks
£4 on taxis
£8 on entry
£10 on drinks inside
then if im dropping thats £15 for 2 pills, what i normally get

so like £30 on a standard night, £45-50 on a big one

>b-but anon I thought we had a real connection when you were grinding me during that Villalobos tune
>>
>>53349019
if im getting drunk probably around $300

if i'm on it probably around $70

this is sydney, aus prices so $300 is $40 bottle of spirits, $20 club entry, $180 drinks, $60 taxi home

if i'm on it probably $50 for pills, $20 entry, end up catching a bus home for shit all
>>
>>53349843
lol
>>
>>53349480
Bitch I'm sober and you're mediocre, how about you buy me a drink and we'll see where that lands us.

also if im drunk / didnt end up with proper mdma ill probably end up in a casino at like 6am

>going to a casino after a club

you're doing it wrong fam
>>
>>53349914
>>53349843

not an uncommon occurrence to spend more then that if drinks are involved tbh. im personally quite stingy with buying rounds for the boys/girls so..

>>53349926
>sydney
lockout laws, cant get into clubs after 1 or some shit and cant buy drinks after 3
+ most places start kicking people out at 4- 5.
Casino is open 24/7. if im speeding i may as well go to a casino instead of going home and cleaning
>>
So, what do you guys do after you come home after a club night?
>>
>>53350000
how much does, let's say, a single vodka & coke cost in a standard venue
>>
>>53350099

shitpost on /bleep/ ; )
>>
>>53350099
if its been a night involving drugs then it depends on how late it is, but it always involves someone's house. if its before like 5am when we get back then i might take some more. then eventually the weed & laughing gas comes out. just chill and chat shit until we get really tired, bedtime around 8-9am
>>
>>53350114
That's what I do after showering and getting more drinks ready, really.
>>
this thread is hilarious
>>
>>53350152
>>53350152
Welcome to /bleep/, now shitpost about UK Garbage, blog about clubbing or get the fuck out.
>>
>>53349019
got a travel card for work anyway
£10 entry
£5 for a double stacked pill online
50p for a pack of chewing gum
tap water is free
tie my hoodie round my waist so i don't have to bother with the cloak room
£8.70 for drinks beforehand

so £24.20 on average
if i was broke i'd just drop the alcohol before
>>
>>53350099
if i'm still feeling up, go back to a m8s house and smoke week, have another tin or two, maybe some nos and go to sleep

if i'm pretty much down, i'll just jump on the bus/tube, put some headphones on, listen to some nice chilled tunes, get home, drink some orange juice, pop and etizolam and go to sleep
>>
>>53350152
why? because it discusses clubbing? what's wrong with that?
>>
>>53350165
it's mad how facebook it is
>>
>>53350104
$7 bruv
like $5 - 6 for the cheapest beer unless you're into buying tinnies in the club
>>
>>53350226

cheesy as fuck, sounds like vidya OST. Not that bleep should be /beardstroking/, but I still don't get why people cream over Burial so much. He made 1 decent album, 1 great album and a bunch of mediocre shit afterwards (with some good stuff here and there)

This one is laughably corny

>inb4 "that's the point u just don't get it"
>>
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=alAi89U893s

someone explain this
>>
>>53350365
The cheesiness is actually part of the appeal of Burial.
The point is that it has this sorta rave nostalgia thing going on.
>>
>>53350320
>go with friends
>buy a few rounds of not the cheapest drink

>>
>>53350388

>>53350314
this is actually fucking terrible.

i thought it was a joke at first but then i releaised it wasnt april 1st.

burial can go suck a fat dick. what a mug
>>

well tbh UKG is pretty much dead, and even when it was "alive" it was just a mediocre copy of murican garage house

why the fuck are all u lot in these threads buying drinks at clubs?

either take drugs

have a couple of drinks b4 hand and then just stay out in willpower

people trying to get more drunk whilst inside a club is so weird. like, why? just listen to the music
>>

wow what a fucking drag m8

like, you know clubs make most of their $$ on drinks right?

don't be a jew, buy at least one drink
>>
>>53350621
why do it? just to keep the club in business?

idk, i suppose it's just because here in london no one drinks to get drunk in clubs. people just take w/ever and maybe have a beer or two

there's nothing anyone hates more than a drunk person in a club

people stumbling around? drunk
taking up huge spaces to take group shots with their friends with the flash going of? drunk
a fight breaks out? they're always drunk
throwing stuff around? drunk

it's just the worst club for clubbing and i hate seeing people inside too fucked up on it

>>53350693
yeah, i normally do, just while i'm coming up or w/ever. i just think it's weird that people in these threads are drinking to get properly drunk

it's gone quiet, the absolut online marketing guys are having a crisis meeting
>>
>>53350099
depends

if i go home "rarely" ill drink some tea, shitpost on bleep a bit

and take a shower

but most of the time we will have a after at a friends home, get some beer when the store opens (8-9 AM) and we if i we used drugs keep going on have some No2 extra pill / dip of mdma and yust talk / hang out till maby 1-2 pm.
