i'm out guys. thanks for posting your music and don't take any offense if i gave you a low score. it's all a matter of opinion and taste. unless i gave you a 0, this means you're not even trying or are pretentious as hell.
>field recordings pop
What do you think about this track op?
>system shock 2 sample
>I MADE CRAZY NOISE!
It was a friend and I noise jamming. We liked it so we posted it.
>post rock, ambient, drone, lots of field recordings and found sounds
Posting one of my shorter releases for the sake of getting a quicker response.
Digging the aggressive vocals. What's your inspiration for this kind of sound? Like, what was the process for making this like?
>downtempo jazz hop
As someone who doesn't mix his kicks with nearly enough punch (so to speak), you really gotta' mix your kicks a little lighter. They're absolutely overpowering in the beginning of the first song, and continue to be just way too much for how light the rest of the song's tone feels.
> raps/ instrumentals
>Big Room House
Go for it.
finna look threw the thread and comment/like/follow wut i fucks with

So here it is, my third single from the soon-to-be-released Dark R&B EP. You guys liked the first two, and hopefully you'll like this as well. It's more minimalistic, but I feel like I did a good job on the delivery. Looking forward to hear about the song in general, and the mixing as well.
Will return all feedback on SC!
Damn son where are those donuts from? They look really good. Anyway, the one thing that seems to be most obviously missing from your music is a drummer, but I also understand how hard it is to find good jazz drummers that aren't already super busy with other projects so I don't really blame you. Playing is decent, but you guys should practice some more because it doesn't feel like you're able to just groove along naturally yet. The singing was a little off in a few places but a lot of those jazz melodies are challenging to sing so you're headed in the right direction. The recording feels kind of flat, maybe a little more reverb and a different guitar tone might liven things up, and the bass could use a cleaner EQ job. All that being said, it's great to hear people doing vocal jazz, it's not an easy style of music to pull off so kudos and best of luck in your work.
>we're here to make you think about death and get sad and stuff
>one two three four
Thanks for the honest review man, really appreciate it. It's actually a multi-track with me playing everything but your review still stands as it does feel a bit clunky and doesn't really groove properly, if at all. + yes, i really should practice trying to nail those vocal melodies!
I'm already following you. You've got a great voice, sounds really natural on both the folk and jazz stuff you do (really like you singing 'In the wee small hours..."). just great overall, would definitely pay actual money to see you live.
here you go...
>guitar based compositions
>also hiphop inspired
I decided to post my first single here again, just because I'm nearing my EP release and would like to hear thoughts about the mixing/mastering of this song to see if I have to tweak it still. I'll return all feedback on SC!
My Recs, you won't be disappointed if you take a listen to these fellas!
