Just in case there are people here who haven't heard and loved this.
>noisy/melodic dystopia punk backed by synthetic drums
/mu's mileage varies a lot with punk, but if any of you dig it and want a copy of our album, hit me up through the BC page. I'll send you one.
This is my new EP. I'm going to be releasing an EP every week but this is the first one. It's poppy, heavily electronic but sounds kinda like the Beatles or pre-Ziggy David Bowie.
I used to release music under the name Girls With Depression but I changed the name to Competitor Product because I think knockoff brands are magic and I want to be a magical knockoff brand.
3 songs. Pop music. Not like contemporary radio pop, but still pop.
I say pop because I'm pretty confident in my production skills but I'll listen to criticism anyway. I'm not done learning. I'm gonna learn til I'm dead, betch.
>electronic hipster bullshit
>melodies, harmonies, beats, horrid production
>le raccoon fucker face
>Glitch, IDM, Ambient, Breakcore
I am a big fan of the opening song. The Miku one.
I lopve this. I hopefully will get a cassette. I recon they will go quickly. Especially if more people in here here this.
I like the screaming vocals!

>>52735698 <-- very sweet
>not quite sure what you mean
You have the means without any ends. You know -what- goes into a song, the vocal samples over brittle synths, but you lack the -why- to use it to your advantage, to establish a mood or express anything.
Judging from the credits on your page, you're mimicking ideas and concepts others have applied to their own original music, and it shows. You can put a mirror across from a Picasso and scribble on it with markers to call it your own, but anyone can see right through it.
Pyx (Electronica/Synthpop/Dream-pop from Manchester).
jees, thats pretty rough.
i dissagree there. these are original tunes. only vocal samples were taken from other sources, and they were heavily manipulated. It was an experimental project.
those special thanks are all just things that inspired us in the creative process.
there's actually quite a lot of variety in there.
>electronic, lofi, experimental
>deep distorted melodic synth stuff
Pretty good, my only complaint would be the drums. They just sound like they were recorded with a bad mic and have a too much treble too. But I really like the album art and how you decorated your bandcamp page.
>Dark Ambient/Drone/Post Rock
>Black Metal/Dark Metal
>Suburban Gothic Hip-Hop
There was this guy from Canada who posted this folk album. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
i have 3 free EPS and two free beattapes for y'all.
>lofi, indie, bedroom, electronic
Thank you for a very interesting analysis. Would you be kind enough to specify who you believe us to be imitating and how we seem to be doing it?
Seeing how if we're not stealing from the right people in the right way this would be pointless.
>acoustic, psychedelic, samples, lush
> First Wave post-rock, Instrumental, Psychedelic, hints of western
>instrumental rock, post-rock
>first half is spoken word, second half is tape loops
Stuff i've checked out in the past and recommend:
>for people who like sleigh bells, death grips, atari teenage riot
>experimental hip-hop instrumental
>shillin' this one more time
>instrumental sample based hip hop, short
>experimental electronic dance music
>once described as sounding like "a psyche patient making hip hop."
>mostly instrumental with the exception of 2 tracks.
>actually this is mostly my interpretation of what R&B should sound like, so yeah...
>if you're charles manson and you want to use a chisel to break the glass in that bit of the prison where you can phone your wife to make a really badly made gloryhole, this music is for you
>songs to listen to while you make love to your batshit crazy lady. Or man. Fuck, do what you want. I'm not the boss of you.
>Since this is the only place I really share my stuff, thanks for all the love and support. Means a lot to me!
>>52735118 luv u 2 bb <3
>>52735178 can I sample you guys or have you work with me or something? Like seriously, this stuff is wonderful
>>52737694 y-y-your waifu is beautiful ;__;
>>52739901 make experimental hip hop with me plz?
>>52740276 vastly underrated b/c release here.
>/mu's mileage varies a lot with punk,
Agreed. My friend was in a punk band and he posted on here for a while... everyone either loved it or hated it. There was no in between
>electronic, ambient, experimental, droney soundscapes, noisy, IDM
Alternating long and short songs. Emphasis on texture and immersion.
Works include a new collaborative split, solo LP, a droney single, an ambient EP, and an IDMish EP.
Attached image is of the new split.
New LP is done, waiting on artwork.
