As a complete outsider to drum and bass, what do fans of the genre think of this album
>>52452694
terrible
despise it
>>52452694
not dnb/10
>>52452694
>>52452694
it's shite
>>52452749
>screencapping your own get
dont like pendulum in general, i havent heard that album but i suppose its not better than the stuff ive heard. dnb isnt really a album genre imo
>>52452749
ruffige kru > goldie
it's OK but nothing special really
just a more accessible variant of DnB
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pC7uMSxjck
>>52452694
it's popular so everyone on /mu/ hates it
>>52452870
yeah, fucking hipsters, lets make /mu/ more like the Billboard forums with nothing but top 40 chart hits
N-Dubz are my favourite electronic band
>>52452891
A song isn't inherently bad or good based on it's popularity. I like the /mu/ has more eccentric and interesting tastes but the degree to which people shit on anything that's enjoyed even a whiff of success (unless it's Kanye) is just fucking embarrassing and pretentious.
Music in general is fucking awful for being jam packed full of "you're not a real x unless you do y" type faggots.
>>52452911
Maybe you shouldn't make such retarded blanket assumptions then since most D&B/breaks fans will all praise Prodigy, Goldie, Roni Size and the Chemical Brothers who are all extremely popular. Pendulums problem is that their shite.
are there any good dnb labels currently releasing stuff that doesn't have the pendulum/noisia/nero sound btw? im not really up to date on that stuff... (:

>>52452694
not a big fan but fasten your seatbelts and plastic world is really good
>>52452973
I dunno, the Forbidden Codes comp was pretty good, even if it's much closer to Jungle than DnB.
>>52453068
amon tobin isn't dnb he is nu-jazz
what think of this?
i don't listen to the genre but i really dig this.
>>52453091
He has DnB elements in some tracks

I only dislike it because I was obsessed with it when I was 14, it's okay I guess
>>52452694
Their only decent album
>>52453027
know about metalheadz obv, havent really listened to many of their new releases. will skim thru the catalog of those labels in search 4 some new jams :)
>>52453087
i like jungle more than dnb, so thank you. will give it a listen :3
>>52453038
hehe :)
>>52453129
woops I didn't mean to reply to anybody
>>52453103
Had a few good tracks but overall not that good
Now More Than Ever is way better peep that
I'm curious, I'm guessing /mu/'s favourite Prodigy album is Experience
>>52453202
MftJG > FoTL > Exp > shit > the rest
>>52453202
Jilted Gen > Experience >>>>> FotL >>>>>>> the rest
>>52453202
FOTL>Jilted>Experience>Invaders Must Die>Always Outnumbered

>>52453239
I can get with that
Pendulum is kind of meh in general. The only song I really like by them is The Tempest, and that's bordering on desert rock.
>>52453239
>>52453287
>>52453632
FotL is the brostep of breakbeat
>>52453793
Lmao what
>>52453921
>implying it wasn't
>>52452803
whats that anime bullshit critter
>>52453038
Has moo sunk so low to even consider that shit channel? Nothing there's original or unique...and that's not even mentioning the fanbase.

Uhh...
>>52452694
hold your colour is the only dnb album from pendulum. 3/10 though
immersion varies too much to call it single genre (id call it shit but i think its not genre and some people might feel offended). the only moment i enjoyed was first 30 seconds of Crush
and in silico was some kind of electronic rock and the only thing it has common with dnb is drum syncopation (though i enjoyed watching pirated copy of their brixton show [older one])
>>52453027
hospital records? it has been a fucking cancer to dnb for quite a while. all this liquid dnb shit? netsky? jesus, kick and snare are overcompressed in his tracks as fuck, wondering why i see his name no more in dnb scene
i miss the good ol' days https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=duXJ_gy5wwk
>>52454871
what did you think of this one?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNIwlELQSyg
>>52454871
Bop's album was alright.
>>52454754
theres plenty of nice jungle / dnb releases. heres my fave!
>>52453172
id check some of the ingredients records too
obviously good looking records. i know a guy who released single there
>>52454922
It knocks imo
>>52452694
basically /mu/ is gonna hate drum n bass until a new pendulum release actually gets close cause /mu/ can't fucking help the fact that it secretly loves everything it's supposed to hate
>>52454978
didnt know good looking records were still kickin around! ingredients looks swell too, thanks.
>>52454922
id rather go for less of this neurofunk synthesis and more drum work. i used to listen to neurofunk but now... dunno, wormhole by ed rush and optical sounds better now
best DnB coming thru
>>52455058
I know where you're coming from
less is more most of the time
take this for instance

nah

http://vocaroo.com/i/s1OXMXHKC69y
>>52455107
the only track i like from netsky is iron heart.
the rest is some overcompressed clownstep that i doubt he actually did himself
>>52455056
if you dont want noisia/pendulum sound you could also try just goin through genres like drumfunk or liquid funk, or minimal (like random movement i guess or silent dust album)
also more labels i found in my library:
innerground
influence records
not sure about liquid v
also im 80% sure you will like this http://www.discogs.com/DJ-Marky-The-Master-Plan/release/1163204
>>52452694
Pendulum is justin bieber of dnb
>>52455119
hmmmmm 7,5/10 gotta check this artist out. i like when the lead synth drops (or gets lowpassed) and all you can hear is just bass and drums like in 1:52 :))))) thanks bro
>>52455360
best SkC imo

Budapest has so many good DnB Producers it's ridicules, need to go there some day
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ma4PRg5K4m0
>>52455301
checking my library, i found his fabriclive set which i havent listened to (downloaded all fabric mixes during what.cd freeleech). is that good as well? all those labels are new to me
>>52455435
This is fucking great anon
>>52452694
cheesy as fuck, fedoracore, 2/10
>>52455484
havent listened to them to be honest, i dont know. gotta check them out
also forgot about soul recordings (marcus intalex label, he has nice stuff too) and samurai music. also theres a lot of VA compilations from various artists from various labels, like atmoshpere: deeper drum and bass or liquid drops (or maybe its greek label, cant really remember). id go this direction rather than looking at labels
>>52455435
i heard it somewhere before. damn id love to buy some music in moments like this but man i need money for booze
Is there any good dnb radio station? From the uk preferably.
>>52455810
i bet there is, as far as i know dnb was born in uk
what i can recommend is bassdrive, or maybe jungle train
>>52455723
oh man https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKZmlZ3bOrU
