eleh is pretty mysterious. enters shows while it is completely dark then leaves before the final note resolves.
i recommend reading this interview. it's real great and pretty revealing.
there's also something good for this. someone's account of tracking down and meeting jandek. have you read that?
oh nifty i forgot all about that thank you.
there's one pic where you can see one eye half closed and a few where you can see his eyes through his glasses.
best Haino pic incoming
>best Haino pic
I'm pretty sure it's this one though.
this one is pretty great. him at albert ayler's final resting place.
same i hear it's near religious experience
>Ambarchi reminds me of that guy of Deerhunter in that pic
Isn't that guy like diseased or something, nobody else is close to that skinny, not even Oren.
>i hear it's near religious experience
i dont doubt that. like a lot of those drone artists im pretty sure he spends a long time in sound check to get everything right.
keiji is also a super boss. thats probably my fav pic of him. i wouldnt be surprised if he had super wide range of influences that would be surprising.
not that guy but his weight has gone up and down. he's been slim at some points.
also since more minimal drone is somewhat relevant to this thread, soma made this album which is excellent. its called salt. pretty sure its in the archive.
i don't know who that is.
yeah you'd have to have everything just right i'm sure. from what i understand keiji's biggest influences are jim morrison, antonin artaud, and albert ayler. and not even necessarily influences more like he feels that he is an amalgamation of their essences.
go to bed soma.
i'll still listen to it though.
Keep up the good work!
I seem to remember him being at-least sort of toned in all pictures/videos that I've seen of him, when was he skinny?
>go to bed soma
i wish. that album is a limited release tape thing. you couldnt even give him money for it if you wanted to. its actually a lot like an eleh album. you should check it out.
i think so. he looks like he was pretty charismatic in his youth. but like anon said it is very probably that he transcends that.
Here's a 1½hr lecture with Keiji Haino just posted a week ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xyIEbcwz_n8
The Wire magazine recently did a very lengthy interview with Jandek for two issues.
Who are behind the masks? We may never know..
