nothing in catalog
new release very soon with vinyl!
gonna rec a local band that I think is really cool
> stoners, improv, experimental, joke "music", noise
prepare your earholes
>sorta jangly guitars
Liking this thing quite a bit. Why is David Firth thanked in the description? I love his work.
>noise pop, dream pop, 8-bit, fakebit, electronic, shoegaze
>pop, noise-pop, plunderphonics, eccojams
I need recommendations for modern pop songs to sample. I'm looking for upbeat songs with densely layered synths and stuff, you know the type. Any ideas?
IT-XPO - 1am - 5am (CST)
would love some feedback, haven't gotten much.
>lo-fi indie rock with spacey, shoegazy ambient atmosphere and shit i'unno it's free
Live Cows and Chickens
>Jazz Funk Fusion
I dig it. It's got an atmosphere that I can get into that definitely fits the vibe it feels like you're trying to give off (somewhat eerie late night vibes). I dl'd it to check the whole thing out later so this advice may be off base once I listen to the whole thing, but some variety in sound could be cool. From what I heard already it felt like one sound throughout the tracks, but it'd be cool to see shit grow as the song progresses.
mfw I avoid these threads because as much as I want my music to gain recognition I can't bring myself to listen to any other music posted ITT because I can't enjoy the other artists because of stupid pretensions related to listening to unprofessional artists
'Split' coming in about 2 weeks.
>organ something, experimental
not a genre
I guess it is descriptive, but not of your song
no. absolutely not
no. also surfgaze is taken stop trying to use that term as a label
you mean "I USE THE REVERBS"
Nah not at all.
New track from me feat. Tidepools lending a bit of her vocals on a verse or two.
and another new Lunar Eskimo track feat. my vocals.
Ambiant hiphop or some shit
first day posting in bandcamp general, so i'll post in this thread too, i suppose.
i'm really enjoying what i've heard so far. i feel like it lacks texture but that's what's unique about it. it's very soothing but kind of unsettling at the same time because it's very homogenous. i'll probably give it a good listen when i'm home later on.
hey thanks for the feedback man, i'd say the last two tracks are a different, but i tried to keep the same feeling to it throughout.
hey thanks for the feedback, yeah i can see where you're coming from with the texture part but again, you're right I came into the EP with the idea of the suburbs at night, homogenous homes with one light on in front of each one.
i'm checking your stuff out rn, will give feedback after listen.
>indie pop, psych, rock, folk
>jazz hop, shibuya-kei, nu jazz
>completely sincere use of cheesy smooth jazz samples
>somewhat inspired by Nujabes
I'll return any feedback!
IT-Xpo here, really enjoying the feeling of this. like being lost and disoriented in the middle of nowhere. what's the sample that comes in at 8:30? white noise from a tv? i love when that comes in. the whole lp just makes me feel like im being watched. i think the progression is a bit clunky and unstructured but overall fantastic job man.
>ambient, drone, glitch
>noise rock, math rock, shoegaze
Like me on Facebook here: /cashewmusic
Classic concept album from Aspie Lispen's old band, solid 10/10, overlooked masterpiece
>ambient, drone, meditative, spacey
Both great pieces of ambient/darkambient, definitely recommend.
Love it, relaxing, and a great listen, great job on this.
the samples on porcelain puppies are great
HAPPY HOLIDAYS BANDCAMP BROS!
really appreciate the rec. i'm a few minutes in to enabler and it sounds great so far.
i think that's some degraded road noise in the background of a field recording i took in a massive tunnel when it was really windy. i agree with you about the progression... if i could do it again in the same frame of mind i wouldn't have rushed it so much. thanks for the feedback, it means a ton.
listened to this all day at work and sent it to a friend too. i love it.
nice samefag bro
hey thanks heaps!
i'm sorry... i just love the music so much, it makes me cum.
wait. I'm the foxquel pope guy. That guy's not me. the post ending in 140 was me the rest are from that guy. Not that I have a problem with him, I just wouldn't do that.
>trippy psych with a heavy alt rock twist :)
reccing these guys before I go on to bed. All great stuff, they deserve your listen.
from this guy
hey just wanted to say thanks for the bump, and i love your cover art. your music is interesting, i like the builds but i would say go a bit more experimental with it, it can become predictable. but you have a great base to go on, just i think glitching it out would make it more interesting.
>somebody actually went out of their way to shoop this
I was one (1) of the replies that got photoshopped with a "you" next to it so I know this i fake. IDK if the other dude was the other two (excluding Foxquel Pope's reply)
I'm not going to waste my time trying to prove it, but seriously if somebody is butthurt about a bandcamp getting 3 fucking replies, they need some help.
Keep up the great tunes Foxquel Pope, please get help random dude that photoshopped "you" next to all of the replies.
Idc what any of you say, call me hipster but Bandcamp fucking sucks...
Before you get mad, I'm asking for tips. Since Bandcamp allows so many people to be heard, there's bound to be those fucking terrible people that try to copy/reuse more popular sounds... But I enjoy the editors picks, so can I get by just listening to those instead of digging frustrated through many artists to find perhaps 3-4 good artists?
Thank you! Sorry for the late reply, I've had class since nine. Your track "Enabler" feels like a soft yet crackly pillow for my tired ears. Great atmosphere man!
The third track sounds great, the earthy drum timbres and the faint vocal sample makes it sound almost like something Burial would make, but it's still quite clearly jazz hop. I'm REALLY enjoying this release so far!
Enjoy free EP
>rock, pop, folk, experimental, electronic
I love this shit, the production is top notch and the atmosphere is really relaxing. I got a minor heart attack when the last track started, but I guess that's the effect you were shooting for. Keep it up bro!
Really like this, can't really offer critique because it's too refined.
The other guy was right, the third track is probably the best here. It sounds like a low-budget Nujabes, which I do like, but Vacation and Jam #1 are kinda weak.
Vacation still gets a pass because it sounds like a video game tutorial or menu screen theme. Metro's beat is the best, but it sort of clashes with the calmer jazz underneath it, which I guess is the intended effect but the song's too short for the two to really make a good impression.
If were to change one thing about it, I'd put a low pass filter on the drums and tone down the clipping a bit. It would sound a shit ton like Nujabes then. BDSM is just lol, I didn't listen to the whole thing though.
All in all, I rate it 3.5/5 it shows great promise.
Listened to your stuff a while ago and I recall it was really good.
Ayy, I remember you from last thread. Is there anything specific you want as an album cover?
I'm no photoshop genius but I can make stuff work.
>psych, garage, post-punk
>one live band album, one bedroom project album
>ambient, drone, glitch
>noise rock, math rock, shoegaze
>jangle indie stuff
>groovy psych, laid back coffee music
>star trek comedy funk rock
>sample based psych pop
Don't take this as whining, but where do you hear clipping? Sure, it's mixed pretty loud, but I was really careful not to make it clip. Anyways, thanks for the review, I really appreciate it!
I meant the distortion. The drums have this dirty quality that I associate with drum overdrive on drum machines. It's not that they're too loud, it's just that texturally, the song has a harsh element (drums) and a smooth element (jazz) and the drums punch through the mix too much.
>nigga imagine you was back in 1415 but you was in space and it was the present
>atmospheric/minimalist folk, some freak folk
Thanks for listening and downloading guys
Hey thanks for the 9 dude. Your music is pretty cool, but I doubt you're gonna get a lot of purchases at 50 dollars.
No problem man, thanks so much for the constructive feedback. I want to do more stuff like what you're suggesting but I'm not sure how to go about it, any suggestions as to how to "glitch it out?"
>hey, you got your noise rock in my hip-hop!
ebert and roper 2 thumbs up
pc gamer 93%
egm: 9.0, 9.5, 8.5
congressional medal of honor
>experimental rock, lo fi, folk, lots of bad stuff
Still looking for more feedback on this album
someone needs to say im shit so i don't go on an ego trip
Listened to the first track, pretty good lyrics and professional production, but the chorus is a bit obnoxious. Checkin the rest of it when I have time.
shit I've been churning out lately. enjoy!
>lo-fi, psychedelic pop, experimental, noise
Crazy. Seems like an intro to a rocking song. I kept on expecting it to start rocking like a No Age song.
I thought you guys were a metal band from the cover. I wish the music was louder compared to the vocal. It would make it sound harder, but I am listening on laptop speakers. Feels like a real record. Love a to hear the word labia.
I wish you would put Hawkwind's Sonic Attack over top this. I liked that pan thing. Do you listen to Neu? You should. It got kind of cheesy during the second part.
Weird intro it came in and started again: seems like a mistake. Tronish sounding. I'm waiting for something to happen: just a loop so far... still going, nothing happening. I'm bored. Background music? I don't like background music. Maybe for a movie, but nobody puts baby in a corner. Wow nothing happened the whole song. Long ass fade out. That is for the song Transition.
Wish the vocals were louder. You should have a doubled the main voice with a whisper the whole time. I'm hoping its going to start rocking. "I'm living a lie for free"? I don't get that line. Maybe I got it wrong. I like the idea of the vocal effect thingy it doesn't seem to be fully fleshed out though. Not too shabby. I'm going to listen to another one. Which is a good sign. Work - I hate rain when recorded it always sounds like frying bacon unless you add thunder. Seems like you are a guitar noodler. You and glass teeth should do shit together. No drummer?
I am Hotbox Cantaloup and this is my honest opinion not intended to offend.>>51900948
Seems like you could have wrote something over them verses. I don't like the kick. What are you saying during that chorus. Sounds asiany.
I enjoyed the loop. I just want a bunch of shit to happen when I listen to music. That's me though. Music is subjective. I know people that make a great living doing what you do.They sell their shit to commercials.
>rock & roll
>I wish you would put Hawkwind's Sonic Attack over top this. I liked that pan thing. Do you listen to Neu? You should. It got kind of cheesy during the second part.
I've been liking Neu. yeah I think I'm going to save some of that cheese for another project maybe, it doesn't really make sense and people keep telling me, haha.
Acoustic is recorded well. Need to invest in melodyne. Your vocal noodles are pitchy. Is it just this the whole time. Listen to THAT DOG and listen how tight they are. Just vocal noodles.
Seems like a lot of you guys are just noodlers. Does anyone try to make songs anymore? Or is this the future of music: just randomly recorded, one take Jake, loops and sound effect bullshit.
>feel free to hate
Busy. I have to go Christmas shopping today. Wish me luck. I hate christmas shopping. I hate Christmas. I hate shopping with people I know because they take too long.
We're recording a rock album now so theres that to look forward to.
I really like this. Some of the lyrics confuse me but it sounds really well produced.
This is really comfortable sounding if that makes sense. Reminds me of Hall and Oates kinda and some modern band I forget the name of but this album has a really great sound to it. I really like the bass in Work
>glitchy experimental instrumental hip-hop
the default FL studio style noises on the first few tracks kind of threw me off at first
Other than that I really like what you have going. The effects are on point.
You might wanna focus a little more on mastering and shit, to really bring out that potential in yr music
Didn't expect this to be so, breakcore?
Still dope tho
New Brunswick, NJ
>Dark Ambient/Drone/Post Rock
>Black Metal/Dark Metal
This is fucking good
I'm only like halfway through Escalavrado so far but I am definitely finishing this. The analog clicks and pops are so comfy, and that bass note is top-notch
Seriously, well done on all levels. One of the best first songs I've heard in these threads
Fuck, this is like MBV meets Anamanaguchi, sick shit
>Three albums of noisy experimental electronic music
>music to relax to
Would love feedback on my new EP
