What instrument it the most fedora? My vote is the theremin.
>>51714574
Ocarina very easily.
>>51714574
guitar
>>51714597
Sampler
>>51714574
Theremin's not fedora at all.
It's gotta be like, shamisen or something.
>>51714631
why
Harmonica, Trombone, Acoustic Guitar, Trumpet
Metallophone
>>51714597
The ocarina is turban, actually.
>>51714597
Therimin can be cool
Ocarina is literally only for neck beards.
>>51714574
EEEEEEELECTRICITYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!
i don't even know what fedora means anymore. I used to know but posts like these just confuse the fuck out of me
>>51714646
I've never seen anyone except old Japanese dudes play a shamisen
Steel drums
ukulele, acoustic guitar or violin (because of lindsay starling)
>>51714717
it means "thing i don't like". metal? fedora. rap? fedora. hindustani classical? oh boy you're tippin that fedora like nobody's business
>>51714601
This is akchully the correct answer. It's not exclusvely fedoran but it is quantitively the most fedoran.
If you mean an exclusively fedoran instrument my vote is for melodion/melodica.
Didgeridoo, harmonica, piano, upright bass, keyboards, percussion, clarinet, flute, beatboxing
I own a theremin, but I don't own a fedora...
my vote is for electric guitar (guys who play tool and dream theater)
>>51714739
That's not even what it means. It pretty much means what a euphoric atheist would like.
>>51714785
Jews harp, pipe organ, the human voice
>>51714717
It means neckbeard
>>51714574
>it
Fucking come on, man.
>>51714806
how does anyone know what an atheist might like
the recorder, the sackbut, tuba, sax, slide whistle
>>51714816
And what does that mean
>>51714574
Ukulele
The trikiti and Uilleann pipes for damn sure
ITT: nonsense
>>51714785
definitely didgeridoo.
also trumpet
>>51714857
The Appalachian dulcimer and baglama are fedora as fuck
>>51714857
>can't handle the cold facts of life
It's the fucking saxophone you retards.
>>51714881
baglama is cool as fuck. mostly old turkish guys paly it
>>51714888
Katzenklavier, my neckbeard grows when I listen to the wheelharp
>>51714835
Now that's edgy
Bass guitar, obviously. This applies only to people who exclusively play bass, not people who are proficient on guitar and can easily have their skills transfer to bass as well.
Triangle, woodblock, xylophone, agida
The boobam and kendang. Easily.
>>51714910
i only know the katzenklavier from qi. I believe in the same episode I learned mozart composed for the monkey stick (fedora gold).
>>51714927
this
>>51714681
not if folk punk
>>51714772
Melodica is mostly for Neutral Milk Hotel wannabes that don't wanna learn to play saw.
>>51714717
Fedora is a certain type of kitsch. Usually it's self-importance accompanied by a total lack of self-awareness. That being said yeah it's a diluted as shit word.
It's not the fedora on your head, you know? It's the trilby in your heart.

The keytar.
>>51716755
the keytar is the best of both worlds
arguably the most difficult instrument to master. If you can play the keytar that means you can play the keyboard AND the guitar
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pyUZh_Cbw6Q
in all seriousness, does anyone know any albums that are upright bass heavy and feature moments similar to the link?
>>51716884
yeah
ranchera or any mexican music. I really dig their arrangements, double bass guitar and accordion is something I can get down with
>>51716707
>/lit/ in one picture
>>51717026
that's literally a trilby
>>51716707
Yes. Applied to instruments it can be applied to the ones usually played by this kind of people for the sake of seeming intellectuals/conocieurs of exotic music or cool people.
Non western instruments shouldn't be considered fedora by themselves.
Good examples ITT are
Theremin
Ocarina
Xylophone
Didgeridoo
Ukelele
Melodion
And this >>51714835
Also the Laser Harp
Shit that people play bc they want to seem interesting.
>>51714574
The theremin is great on pic related.
Fedora Music = Sax Music
One in the same.
>>51716707
I think what makes a fedora thing a fedora thing is that everything is sort of a novelty t-shirt. It's not really a genuine enjoyment of anything but kind of this weird superficial "haha" thing. Like if you don't care about fashion, you tend to like novelty t-shirts. It's this weird superficial enjoyment/misuse of something.
It's music, or clothes, or whatever where taste just isn't a factor. Like they dress like grandpas because they conflate dressing up with dressing well. It's like they're doing it without really understanding/feeling it.
I don't really know how to describe it without sounding super fucking airy but I think you get what I mean
>>51714574
Theremin is an incredible instrument though
I really don't see a 'fedora' reference within it
