What are essential albums from Japan?
Also I was in Japan a few years ago and listened to fuck ton of Shoegaze. It's insanely popular over there.
GOAT indie pop here. Seriously, this is good shit.
Nope, been here since 2009. Just been seeing posts saying "fishmeme" and shit with the cover of long season attached over the last week. Or maybe it was only once now that I think about it.
but we werent discussing that idiot. we were discussing how you said GAME was their worst, then you said how triangle is their best implying you only knew of two lps (which you just might considering youre that dumb)
I also recommend pic related to OP
Not the guy you're replying to but I personally like pic related more.
>dat seventh song
holy fuck you dumb sack of shit are you that fucking stupid?
just because we only happened to discuss two lp's doesn't mean those are the only two I know. God damn was your mom a meth head l2argue jpop fuck wit fuck you
wow youre not even smart enough to follow your own retarded logic which really shows that youre next-level dumb.
Pic related if you like some really fun music.
Jesus dude it's fucking Perfume, chill.
My personal favorite, but their whole back catalog could be considered essential.
I'm glad you're waving your e-peen around for the world to see. got to have something to luck at other than your fetal alcohol syndrome fucked up face you piece of shit. go flash your underaged genitalia somewhere else mckayla maroney
lmao wow look how mad you are. maybe you should rub one out and come back, youre ruining everyones good time.
how do they do it? release flawless jams for so long, they have like 15 albums and they are all near perfection
just did. Yeah in all sincerity perfume are sick. I do think triangle is their best LP but game is pretty alright, too.
JPN is their worst imo and level3 is about on the same level as game just with better production
Ruins - Tzomborgha
>overly-technical math rock meets zeuhl
tfw theres so many good albums you cocksuckers will never know and desecrate because you are too stupid and dont ever take initiative
Toe (pic related album is incredible), Envy (go and listen All The Footprints...) and Melt-Banana (listen to Fetch or Cell-Scape) are all pretty damn great Japanese bands.
Their last live album is also great.
In my opinion by far the best album from Japan. It is incredible superior my friends. Also their concerts are amazing.
Mute Beat discography
Well fuck I was going to post that. Have something similar.
Do you know where to get the dvd?
>pic related me at the aftershow party of their last show
The left guy is the former bassist
>not so fast my friend
Pic related is great https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TO-2DErkmus
If you don't like Sōtaisei Riron you should probably kill yourself.
they're fucking great. But it's kinda redundant talk about them on a japanese thread. Everyone here knows them.
Reminds me of In A Silent Way/Bitches Brew
does anyone have a link for 'Fishmans - Long Season'? I only find it on 160kbs, and that's sad.
I don't know if it's one guy or a few but for al least a year Long Season has turned up in sharethreads periodically which is where I found them. It's good stuff so I guess there was just a tipping point where enough people listened to it and shared it that it seems sudden
look up "stella kashiwa daisuke" on youtube, it starts out very glitch but moves into a series of connected and similar progressions, that build on to eachother, i'm a huge pleb and when i listened to it for the first time i was put off by the glitchiness and ignored it, when i went back to it i resisted the urge to skip ahead and saw how the glitchiness at the start actually was building so well for the later moments of the song.
I think its pretty amazing.
The GOAT comfy album.
Can't recommend this enough.
Combines the catchiness and cute tendencies of pop with the harsh unforgiving epicness of metal.
But jokes aside i'd recommend pic related for anyone wanting to get into 80's jap pop
Mishio Ogawa was such a goddess in the 80s. Shame her solo output after that was a bit lackluster.
Read the rest of his post.
this picture is well-intentioned, but i think it misses the mark to some extent
>the only link you need is rbt.asia/mu/
is complete bullshit
and people should be educated about soulseek, rutracker et al
How has noone mentioned MONO yet?
Salyu is my favorite female vocalist, it all started with this album/movie
give it a try, if you haven't
Syrup16g has become one of my favorite Japanese bands recently. They have a lot of feels in their music. Best albums
No, ok, I'll admit, I'm just a fanboy. To be honest, depends what you're into. These days she mostly have that jazzy vibe. The album everyone recommands is an exception, sort of.
But what she recorded is still awesome quality most of the time.
Try her last album http://www.otonomai.net/forum/index.php?/files/file/60918-shiina-ringo-hi-izuru-tokoro20141105320cbr/
If you like this one too, you can probably like anything else in between. There's also her secondary band, now dead, Tokyo Jihen. Would recommand the album Variety if you can only listen to one, but that's just, like, my personnal opinion.
Who BiS here?
I'm so sad they split, just discovered them with the last album recently.
This song is an exception but the whole album is really cool.
Plus thei clips and imagery was a breath of fresh air. Don't really like most idols, do you know any other "weird" ones?
I already know Seiko Oomori and Mariko Goto.
One last BiS song
The melody is super catchy and the clip is really good too, it's like anti-idol imagery.
I'm surprised i didn't see this album in this thread
I'm not a big metal fan at all, but Uroboros by Dir en Grey is a fucking must-listen.
Dir en Grey have changed their sound a lot from when they started out, so you might like some of their earlier stuff too, but I don't think they've ever done anything as good as Uroboros.
I can't believe cunts like you still think shit posting is funny.
If you like good, fun rock, you can't go wrong with The Pillows.
Modal Soul is Jun's best album IMO, but all 3 Studio albums are great.
As someone who's favorite album is Re: (so underrated, it takes a lot of listens to really get into it, I used to think it was meh), I can confirm this. However the first ~6 minutes of Stella are better than most of Write Once. The middle of Write is perfection though.
the best and going to work on a best of by going into the studio to re record, omokage lucky hole
