Post your favourite albums of all time, R8, H8 DB8
so, is this the chart thread, or...?
also I decided to put Boredoms on here
>I only have 49 on my chart
comin' right up
they don't specify best of all time though. Let us have a smaller audience here then, it becomes more personal ;)
lots and lots of stuff I've never heard. Tim Hecker I've been delaying for some time. He came here last month did I do wrong not going?
recs? I'm new to /mu/, so I don't know much music :(
Everything by Lone
Maudlin Of The Well
Pangaea, Ramadanman, TRG
The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die
Machinedrum, Slint, Tycho, Blank Banshee
Some albums I like
have you heard...:
butch morris - burning cloud
Laurent Jeanneau - Ghulja
Magnétophonique - Lush Islands / Illusion of Paradise
Moth Cock - Twofer Tuesday
Oh, Yoko - I Love You...
Tiger Village - V
Gael Moissonnier - Aktion#1
Good Willsmith - Is The Food Your Family Eats Slowly
Marilyn Crispell - Pianosolo: A Concert in Berlin
The Berlin Jazz Workshop Orchestra - Sib Langis
These are always fun.
Kinda /mu/ey, still have mostly good taste overall
Oh hey, haven't seen that Distorted Pony album in awhile. Refreshingly unique chart! You look like you have a lot of fun in Barnes & Nobles.
Personal taste with a dash of /mu/, but not enough /mu/ to keep it from being you. Trips confirm you have good taste.
Sure is /mu/ up in here - but if that's what you like then hey, that's what you like.
Somebody likes a lot of Motorpsycho - they sound interesting, will check them out if they make it to a chart that many times!
For someone new to /mu/, you've got a very not-pleb while not-too-/mu/core taste. Not bad. If you like Flying Lotus' Cosmogramma, I'd say check out Osamu Sato's Lucy in the Sky with Dynamites. It's another trippy idm-ish experimental electronica album.
Hey look, someone on /mu/ with a good taste in rap!
Aside from Mahler, I don't know the first artist on here...I can give you some generic recs if you tell me what genres they are.
I would like recs
Sea Oleena - Sleeplessness
UNKLE - Psyence Fiction
Hooverphonic - Blue Wonder Power Milk
Grimes - Visions
SBTRKT - s/t
Interpol - Turn on the Bright Lights
hong chulki, tetuzi akiyama, jin sangtae- dotolim live series 1
toshiya tsunoda - the temple recording
kassel jaeger - rituel de la mort du soleil
lionel marchetti & yoko higashi - petrole
Reccs anyone? (this chart is way too organized)
Algernon Cadwallader - Some Kind Of Cadwallader
Tangled Hair - Apples
>You look like you have a lot of fun in Barnes & Nobles.
I do, I love to get cookbooks on how to prepare halibut and scallops properly
I also like their selection of CDs
>tfw Doctor P is hated on /mu/
>tfw you don't know if this is a compliment or not
ayy all. Rec or ask to be rec'd and you shall get rec'd. New code btw
I wish I could be bothered to make a top 50/100
Mind you, even if I could be bothered the ranking would fuck me over, I don't rank my favourites, they're all just my favourites
Except the indicated GOATs
I'd encourage you to listen to Bear vs Shark if you haven't
Telefon Tel Aviv, maybe Jordaan Mason and Anais Mitchell
This chart looks familiar
Which means I probably already recced you listen to Breakwater
So this time I'm going to recommend The Organ instead
I think you'd like Maybeshewill a lot
Possibly also Her Name Is Calla, and possibly also Telefon Tel Aviv although that's a bit of a stretch
You'd like Katie Kim for sure I think
Maybe Made in Heights too
tf is going on on that MSI album cover
You might like The Black Heart Rebellion
God damn that takes me back, I remember I used to love that shit when I had shit taste
Haven't listened to it since then though so I don't actually know if it's good or not
Maybe try Islaja - Ulual Yyy if you haven't heard it already.
Codeine (either album)
Good taste. I can't think of a rec right now, sorry.
Cornelius - Point
Earth - Pentastar
There's only 3-4 albums on my chart you wouldn't like
Took this pic about 2 years ago, back when the template for this sort of thing had fewer albums. I'd probably have more hardcore-punk if I re-did this right now with more albums, but this is still a good picture of what I've been listening to for the past 10+ years.
just something i felt like throwing together
have fun looking at it
Lots of nice dubby trip hop stuff in there.
You checked out Mo Wax and Grand Parade Records, Tru Thoughts too, and Pork Recordings and Compost Recordings or bands/artists like Salmonella Dub, Boozoo Bajou or have a look in the archive for 'sands dunes' and the downtempo chart in there for some others.
>A night at the Opera
Your list seems varied enough but it barely scratches the surface. Just go to RYM or last.fm and search in the music genre you want to expand a little on.
Frank Zappa - we're only in it for the money
kraftwerk's first 2 album if you're feeling adventurous
Linda Perhacs - parallelogram
The album on my list which you think has the prettiest cover art.
>Sure is /mu/ up in here - but if that's what you like then hey, that's what you like.
people like you are irritating. fuck off.
1) no one comes in here to be judged. they come here for recs.
2) you aren't fooling me or anybody with this "but hey if that's what you like..." bullshit. i know you're a condescending elitist faggot because you preceded that with "OH BOY NICE /MU/ TASTE"
My first time posting one of these, be gentle plz.
I'm bad at describing albums but the album is a trip. It's got some ambient, atmospheric "interludes" into some sick idm-ish stuff. Like pure analog synth shit. You should definitely check it out.

i am a looOoOOOOOOoOozer
>first row of top 10 essential plebcore
>literally only one jazz album in the whole chart, try to decide if you actually like the genre
>essential fantanocore drone
>no kid a or okc but instead a piece of turd like in rainbows
>tame impala (not even innerspeaker), the national and brand fucking new
>literally muse's discography
>whenever, if ever a.k.a. the cheesiest fucking emo record of the millenium
>more death grips and yeezus
>le fleet foxes
>daydream nation to top it off because hey thats that one album everybody else has eventho its arguably not even top3 sonic youth record
not to mention he has the fucking Battlestar Galactica OST on his chart too.
Ocarina of Time has been looping in my mind since I was a kid and it never left...
Listen to Eno's solo stuff
