I wouldn't ever be presumptous enough to think anyone really says this, but you don't actually say tabarnac? I played WoW with a French Canadian for a long time and that's where I picked it up from. Super useful when I want to swear around kids.

Didn't listen to TTC, and I'm not a huge Stupeflip fan, although I really like their 2nd album.


In France, we've got pretty awesome Noise/Rock bands.

You guys should really try Jessica93, or Diabologum (some spoken words mixed with noise, their album #3 Ce n'est pas perdu pour tout le monde is one of my favourite).

Also, Programme is quite good (Diabologum related band), and Rhume is nice (Diabologum-like band).

The Shoegaze french scene is nice : Les Discrets, Alcest, Amesoeurs, Pégase (rather Dreampop)...

And we have amazing electronic music : Saycet, Rone or Chapelier Fou are chill/Ambient, Mondkopf is some dark Ambient (looks a bit like SHXCXCHCXSH ), and of course Igorrr is one of the most talented artist of the genre.

Of course, we've got the Daft Punk, Phoenix or C2C (not a huge fan of C2C and Phœnix though).
