I think the only thing I changed is the order of how the albums appear cause I've written a lot and I want to keep my favourite stuff at the top. Sometimes I post slightly newer work in Soundcloud threads before I'm done an album, so you might have seen something there? Not sure, hope you like my music though!

But it does cost money and time to make the music.

I don't disagree with you, but giving music away is driving the value of music down. Piracy plays a role in that too.

At the end of the day creating music is a highly skilled craft. If you want to devalue your output and give it away for free, that's fine, but I don't believe that music should be given away for free by default.

If you like what an artist or band is doing, find it valuable and want what the have to offer, show them and give them some money.

Well, I mean, I work on it and I expect some kind of something for my time spent. I get the liberal shit that people use to try to convince others that everything digital should be free, I do, but money is a reward for making something good, not just a system for goods/services. I suppose paywhatyouwant can be a good thing, but sometimes charging isn't asking too much.

I mean, it is for me. But I'm a greedy bastard.

perhaps I believe that its ability to be monetized is not the ultimate arbiter of music's value. have you considered that subconsciously altering my music to make it more commercial might meaningfully be "devaluing my output" to me?

I have no problems paying bands for their music and I accept payment for my music but it's far from being my first concern when acting as a musician.
>>
Private listeners should never have to pay me anything to listen to my music. But I would expect payment for the commercial use of my music. Making music is my reward for making music. I have been doing this since the early 90's when there was little chance anyone would hear your stuff. Now it's easy to get a few listens from around the world and that is definitely a cherry on top....but for me it's not the cake.
>>
>>49177483
Well, that's you. I, personally, think money is more of an upvote, or a plus-one, or a yeah, or whatever the fuck you want to call it. It's appreciation. Plus, it's business. I'm an entrepreneur, and all my money comes from selling things I do. If you're good at something, never do it for free.

I can dig this, it reminds me of Omni Trio, the guy used to make a lot of drum and bass inspired by ambient music. Some really nicely detailed synths on here and it's nice to hear drums that aren't just the usual amen break loop either.

>>49175566
This is pretty fucking odd haha, but I get the chip tune and jazz influences here and it works surprisingly well. I could see this being the OST to some indie pixel game, it's pretty neat, man. Some really nice melodies and rhythms on this.

>>49175590
Personally this isn't doing much for me, but I really like the synth melodies (especially when the twinkling synth melody hits at 3:31 on Crystal Pitchers) and the recordings sound pretty clean. Maybe if the guitar was as playful as the synth, but otherwise it's not bad, man.

>>49175645
Oh shit, that's some nice stuff, dude. Jealousy plays with a really sweet melody and then you get that hard kick come in that's pretty downplayed. Those synths are nice too but I feel the original melody on what sounds like a xylophone is a little drowned out. If that's the intention, fair enough. Really digging Future too. Gonna download and listen to it fully later on.

>>49175658
I'm loving the fuzzy sounding instrumentals, if you guys play live I bet you'd thrash the fuck out. The vocals are odd - I don't dislike them, but I can't quite explain what I'm really hearing. I guess it's pretty fitting, vocals sound as chaotic as the music. Pretty, pretty, pretty good, man.

>>49175792
Oh dude, I downloaded Temporary Collection in an earlier one of these threads and I loved it. The mix of guitar and electronics becoming as glitchy as they are on your release is so playful. Like a Summery IDM, kinda like Locust Toybox. Really dig your stuff, dude.

>>49175806
You're not kidding when you say lo-fi. I can't get much out of the vocals but the fuzzy instrumentals almost sounds like they're sharp enough to cut through wire. I kinda dig it.

Actually makes sense when you hear it. There's like a lingering uneasiness when you're listening to this. Really nice recordings, too. When those vocals come in, they're so clear and pristine, it's great. Pretty haunting stuff, man.

>>49176446
This is very quaint and modest sounding. The vocals and guitar work is really nice, dude. The vocals remind me of someone but I can't quite remember. I like that kinda slurring you've got going on. Gonna download and I can't wait to hear some more from this project.

>>49176506
I'm going to download a couple of these as I find drone and ambient music very good to read, revise and sleep to, as well as just general relaxation. Listening to Turns and those synths are nice and thick sounding, like they could fill a room.

>>49176864
Got a fuzzy Sparklehorse vibe out of your work, man. Some nice guitar work and a cool little beat on Tweens. The vocals I kinda dig but I'm not the best with vocals myself so I don't really know how to recommend improvement on those other than just keep at it. A pretty cool project.

Also I'd recommend Sigmund Freund too, that guy has some great stuff.

>>49177018
This is some clean sounding stuff. The vocals have a croaky sound like Paul Baribeau or some folk-punk vocalist. Really digging this and gonna download. For newer releases, have you thought about more instruments like drums or something?

>>49177800
This is alright, man. I dunno what I can say about it, but I admire it's pretty stripped back - just you and your guitar and that it's a concept EP as your page describes. Not bad.

I'm going through them pretty quickly, you're right, but I'm downloading quite a few to properly listen tomorrow.

>>49178588
When I see people tag their work as punk, it's not like you'd expect it to be, so it's actually really refreshing to hear something this fuzzy, loud, aggressive and in-your-face. Kill Pizza Punks made me giggle and Shamer is pretty fucking cool too. I'm digging this and I'll download it too.

>>49178795
I don't know what I'm in for here, man. It starts out with some misleading guitar sample or something then you get this huge rush from this glitchy sounding synth and this glitchy sounding kick drum. I dunno what I'm listening to here but it's kinda cool, man. I'm getting a Tobacco vibe from this. At 4 minutes in this track gets some cool little bleeping synth to it and it takes on a minimal but cool funky sounding rhythm. Seriously dude what.

>>49178824
Just reading your influences at the bottom of your page, this could be a project I'll really dig. The first track with these vocals building up a strange atmosphere, and the lead vocalist has some lungs on him too. Listening to a few of the tracks on here and you've got this great ethereal vibe about most of your work. Some really nice vocal harmonies on this, especially Absorbed Pt 1 which has this quaint little guitar flittering in the back that I'm really enjoying. Gonna download as I feel I'm going to need to take a proper listen to this.

Also the Love Grips side project of yours is pretty funny, man. I got a right giggle out of the Oasis x MC Ride mashup.

>>49178912
> chiptune
> vaporwave
To me, I'm feel like it's more sample-based noise-influenced stuff. I really don't know what to think about this, dude. JAPAN2001 has this neat little rhythm going on with that Snoop Dogg smoke weed sample and what sounds like Pikachu. I recognise the Snoop Dogg x Circulation mashup in there too.

>>49179113
The synths and the bass are pretty cool with an easy melody but the beat isn't doing much for me. If you're aiming for chill out/trip-hop/downtempo sounding stuff, trying making more atmospheric beats - don't be afraid of a little reverb on the beat, and maybe slow it down and use some softer drum sounds or something. Really digging the synths though.

>>49177767 this is me, please give feedback if you have the time

>>49179212
Downloaded your stuff and I love it. A really pleasant atmosphere to your music, kinda like music to play on a warm summer's night or a cool winter's morning. I think I might've made the comparison to Chris Schlarb while talking about your music because he also has this atmospheric dreamy folk sound too. Totally recommend you, dude, and I've shared your page with a couple of friends too.
>>
>>49179671
Oh shit thanks, man

Most of the tracks are sample based but they're also heavily distorted and glitched. Basically everything on that track that isn't the drum is a sample and the same sample from the intro of that track.

i like this, the minimalism is what does it for me.it's not to tech-heavy and it's not to simple.it's just right.tracks are foreboding and unpropitious in the sense that if i were fighting for my life.i would lose.

Vol 1 is pop-rock and Vol 2 is post-music with black metal influence. We're releasing it as a 2CD box set in a few months via Satanica Records and a possible vinyl release through a Ukranian label.

We're considering doing something way more low-fi and noisy for the next set of recordings.
What do you guys think?
We might do another cover as well. What do you think would work well?
