>Put Spaceship cruiser on autopilot
>Just you and your best friend chilling in the cockpit
>Gazing at the stars
What album do you put on to listen with your spacebro, millions of miles away from any form of life?
>tfw you will never be in a spaceship traveling thousands of miles per hour, eating delicious space food, lighting a few blunts with your pals, and look out your window, gazing at the stars as you listen to your favorite album
This for sure.
>>48899554 is also a good contender, but it feels more stratospheric to me, heh
>tfw your fuel is depleted and you're heading towards are black hole
Either this or BoC Maxima
I wish I never knew this feel
Only correct answer. What you guys doing.
These niggas I love.
I think Returnal would be amazing to hear while spacing around. In space. Also Songs about Satellites And Spaceships by 7% Solution.
i really want to get into BOC
whats the best song to start with.
All of the good ones are really old, but there are tons of them.
Also there are tons of them that are supposed to be released in the next few years, weirdly enough. I don't know who's idea it was to bring them back but I can't complain.
Elite is pretty much this too, but isn't on there because it's more of a space trade game
it's a shame, if only i could have been born a couple hundred years in the future
>tfw like one of those born in the wrong generation kids except the other way around
can someone pls explain the appeal of this to me
space is fucking boring
also what are we doing wasting money sending probes to mars and shit
why would you want to go to space
why are we spending money on trying to go to space
>floating in space, being all comfy and shit
>HULL BREACH, NON-ORGANIC LIFEFORMS DETECTED
>turn around but its too late
>copilot is shot dead
>beings from the Black Realm have hijacked your vessel, and killed your crew
>floating into a black hole as they come ever closer towards you, ready to rape your organic meatholes with their pulsating robot dicks
this is a good one, if a bit cheesy in some parts. also Orblivion
nice choice! i'd board your rocket ship if you know what i mean
Just imagine the space-feels you'd get listening to Betrayed In The Octagon
i know everyone quotes this a spooky album but i always get the floating a in a quiet space station vibe from it.
I didn't say they were. But they are part of the experience of space travel, part of the wonder of human accomplishment that got you to where your ancestors dared not even dream of going.
Ruining that with such basic sounds as music is a massive waste and akin to browsing facebook on a tour of the Egyptian pyramids
Alone with your ship and space is far more calm than having some generic mix of instruments blaring in your ears
>aren't already ruined
To an extent they are. But they still represent a massive amount of history and are a wondrous sight for anyone.
Probably true. But in the scenario OP described it set the scene as one of reflection and humbling.
>But in the scenario OP described it set the scene as one of reflection and humbling.
Fair enough. I would never ask anyone in that position to listen to music or listen to nothing but their own thoughts. The mood you'd be in would be just so important to how you react to what you're listening to or what you're not. Both experiences would be simply beautiful; it just depends on what the sailor wants
This for sure.
I mean, come on:
I'm disappointed /mu/
a tour of the International Space Station:
Lots of humming and background sounds of life support etc.
Pretty cool shit
Zero-g is really really bad for you though... we need spin habitats/gravity to exist for long periods in space.
Everyone watched 2010? Fucking god tier sci fi. Outland (1981) is also damn cool
>You will never be a member of the Planet Express delivery team while this plays over the ship's speakers
Filk is where its at. Sea shanties in space.
>Did you know queen did a Sci Fi Song?
Brian May is a based as fuck songwriter
Yeah it may be dry, but damn if it isn't an excellent look at the ISS. Interesting to see that every wall has stowage/equipment on it. And that the atmosphere is essentially their trash can.
Its like have a 24/7 incinerator at your back door
>It's "arranged" recordings from the Voyager.
its not arranged field recordings
what was recording is frequencies of something I forgot the name that is not sound.
Since sound is frenqucies this can be easily converted to sound.
THEN after it was arranged.
A guys that works with this kind of space stuff, posted on the videos about it a link to a youtube video that has the stuff converted to sound but no rearranged
check x-plane for comercial plane
for military planes check DCS series, they are ultra realistic and have just one flyiable plane to each game, people say they are more realistic than military training ones, because after some amount of time, military guys train with real planes.
Then talking about realistic physics and space, there is space combat game (the name of the game is space combat) the game is made by creator of x-plane and follow. Flying this thing is difficult, because how stuff works on space newtonian laws. You can battle here too with some ships. There is a cockpit but is not too complex
Kerbal Space Program.
You build and pilot your own rockets. building ISS style space stations and using real orbital physics to get to distant planets
Its EM data shifted into the audio range. Pretty cool shit, but not technically the "sound" of the bodies recorded.
>also what are we doing wasting money sending probes to mars and shit
