IT'S LE SPOOKY TIME AGAIN!
GOTH, INDUSTRIAL, WITCH HOUSE AND OTHER DARK GENRES GENERAL
Is that a goth version of 3chorddorks?
the most as ebtry level as you can get; combichrist, suicide commando, grendel, psylon nine. It makes for great workout music but I want something new
thnaks guys these are fun
Here is three SPK albums; Auto Da Fe, Leichenschrei, and Machine Age Voodoo.
None of the mega links for other SPK albums work in the archive.
>early industrial, a little more on the dancey side than many of the other "trve" industrial acts out there
are you guys OK with me sharing four crash warship albums? they're not in the archive but I don't really know if they'd fit in a /darkshit/ thread
Crash Worship - Asesinos
>percussive, ambient industrial. really unusual stuff.
Crash Worship - This
>tribal industrial is probably the best discriptor for their music, this was their first release.
Crash Worship - Triple Mania II
>tribal industrial, this was their first "studio album" although its one of their later releases
Crash Worship - The Science of Ecstasy
>tribal industrial, these guys apperently had some incredible live shows
Now that you're on this, you happen to have Cut Hands' Black Mamba? And/Or a non-transcode version of Afro Noise I: Volume 3?
Also, I don't have a lot of industrial, but you guys have any requests?
Oh boy, how wrong you are.
Listen to To Be Fed Upon.
one of the craziest bands ever.
I'd give you a ginormous amount of internets if you could.
Also, it's Afro Noise I: Volume Three, not Afro Noise.
You've listened to Cut Hands anyway?
Cut Hands - Black Mamba
>discogs tells me this is "experimental, abstract, and african"
Cut Hands - Afro Noise I: Volume Three
>I presume its the same kind of "experimental, abstract, and african" music as the other cut hands album
Anyone knowledgeable with Industrial Rock/Metal here? Recently I tried Ministry's The Land of Rape and Honey and it was wonderful. I didn't like The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste as much, and I liked Psalm 69 even less. What should I try?
I'd suggest you to try Foetus' Flow (not necessarily metal, but it will give you a similar feel), KMFDM's WTF?, and go from there. Come back if you have any questions.
Well of course. Downward Spiral is fine, though not as good as Rape and Honey. Planning to try their Broken EP after I finish the album I'm listening to.
Foetus is probably my second favorite industrial musician behind Coil. I haven't tried that particular album however, will check that out. I've tried KMFDM's Nihil a long time ago and didn't really like it. If you think WTF? is worth a shot still I'll give it a try.
do i win something?
not disagreeing with your opinion on webcomics but
>inb4 anime website
When anime reaction pictures aren't deliberately trying to annoy someone or don't fit the context, there is literally nothing wrong with them. You are being a dick. Not the guy you replied to.
to be fair ive never seen someone here use an anime reaction image when they were saying/doing something that wasnt retarded
it is an anime website
and it's not going to go away even if you keep posting that picture
so deal with it or leave
You have a weak mind and shitty parents.
Nihil is one of my favorite albums ;_;
And WTF? might sound a little too edgy, if that's the case, it has some weak tracks.
Try UAIOE or Xtort instead.
Also listen to Broken, jump to The Fragile, then With Teeth then Hesitation Marks.
I'm pretty sure you're not gonna like the rest of NIN's releases.
Also Halber Mensch by Einstürzende Neubauten, if you haven't already listened to it. (if you have, listen to Tabula Rasa)
More like this please?
This is cool
>Try UAIOE or Xtort instead.
>Also listen to Broken, jump to The Fragile, then With Teeth then Hesitation Marks.
I've listened to The Fragile and Hesitation Marks as well. Couldn't get into those much. gonna check out With Teeth
>I'm pretty sure you're not gonna like the rest of NIN's releases.
Wrong! I love Pretty Hate Machine
>Also Halber Mensch by Einstürzende Neubauten, if you haven't already listened to it. (if you have, listen to Tabula Rasa)
Well yeah I did try and really like Halber Mensch. Will try Tabula Rusa.
>I've listened to The Fragile and Hesitation Marks as well. Couldn't get into those much. gonna check out With Teeth
With Teeth has moments where it sounds like a Ministry album, and some of the more pop-veering side of Trent Reznor.
>Wrong! I love Pretty Hate Machine
I kinda forgot Pretty Hate Machine for a second there.
I fucking love PHM, but left it out of the equation for some reason.
>combichrist, suicide commando, grendel, pylon nine
i recommend dioxyde, geist and money trail are good
imperative reaction has a ton of great tracks
angelspit is kinda grating but good in a poppy way
aside from the 4 you listed already which i consider to be the best that's most of what i consider good. also open to new aggrotech if anyone knows any
>aligning everything against what you like (anime) with everything you don't like (the rest of the internet)
I've read over this like 5 times and I have absolutely no idea what you're trying to say
>>aligning everything against what you like (anime) with everything you don't like (the rest of the internet)
God I hate this. I'm not against anime myself, but not liking anime has pretty much nothing to do with browsing Reddit Tumblr and et cetera. All those networks have people who like anime and people who don't, just like 4chan.
Sorry to break it down for ya mate, you have issues.
Anyone into Industrial, I could not recommend Youth Code more if I tried. They are the best Industrial of the 2010s I know of by far.
Couldn't find a full album video
Hello friends add me I love dark music
>Not following her tumblr
At some point they got super obsessed with the Suture tracks. I like the idea of them, but then it kinda just turned into filler.
I'd also recommend Sister Machine Gun if you want Chemlab + girl problems
I own a Sister Machine Gun album somewhere in my CD collection but I haven't listened to it often since the songs didn't really have enough variety or catchiness for me to really get into it.
They're memorable for Addiction, which is all you need to listen to. American coldwave bands are replaceable to be honest. That name never made sense to me either. It's not at all like coldwave, but it stuck as a niche in industrial rock for a while.
Assemblage 23 - Storm
Front 242 - Front by Front
KMFDM - NIHIL
KMFDM - Symbols
Nitzer Ebb - That Total Age
Ministry - Land of Rape and Honey
Skinny Puppy - Too Dark Park
VNV Nation - Judgment
For industrial, Scatology, 20 Jazz Funk Greats, Opus Dei, Half Mensch
For industrial music as a whole, Nine Inch Nails albums, Skinny Puppy albums, Die Krupps, Covenant, Front 242, KMFDM, VNV Nation but Empires and not Judgement because I love it more, Ministry, Dalek, wumpscut, Black Lung
A lot of "mallgoth" music isnt as bad as people make it out to be. If you get down to it, The Birthday Massacre, Mindless Self Indulgence, Emilie Autumn, and Stabbing Westward all have great music
Also just as a pointer to that anon the more old school (70s-early 80s industrial) music like Throbbing Gristle and the like isn't really an accessible starting point unless you're already into genres like experimental or noise.
20 Jazz Funk Greats could be considered an ambient album. Hell, in industral culture, Throbbing Gristle may as well just be an ambient band. It's mellow and gloom as shit. But yeah it might be slightly inaccessible to most people, but since the guy is in a gothic culture thread, its probs okay
Essential mallgoth Industrial bands:
>Angelspit (not really "mallgoth" I think but still very "edgy")
>The Birthday Massacre
>Combichrist (and Panzer AG by extension)
>Marilyn Manson (debatable but definitely makes the list for me)
>Mindless Self Indulgence
Feel free to add to the list if I forgot anything
Honestly I'd say Combichrist doesnt deserve to be there. They totally bastardized the sound of aggrotech and have become goth tiesto. I never got into Angelspit, but they're totally the emblematic cybergoth fashion band.
>mfw the Twin Peaks theme comes on
Got a Click Click phase right now.
Daaaamn, that voice
yeh Tight. its very rough and demoey. its worth a lot of money if its still shrink wrapped and stuff. they rereleased it in 2011 with a DVD and stuff. They also had some demos before that, they kinda sound like nine inch nails
I sadly had to part ways with my old friend Opera.
This means I lost all my youtube copypasta ;_;
WICCA PHASE SPRINGS ETERNAL https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yon_f1DU3KY
I'm actually of the exact opposite opinion. I think their only weak release is Ichneumon Method. Never found BaN to be all that good for my ears.
To stick to metal: Plenty of funeral doom is much darker than Axis of Perdition.
Outside metal: A lot of dark ambient, industrial and PE gets much darker than Axis of Perdition.
To be honest I'd rather listen to the gamerip audio/ambience from the Silent Hill games, since that's primarily what AoP are trying to do.
How are you even on this board if you don't know?
I don't have time to check, dl and upload it for you but go to link related and download it, make an account then click options tab -> file sharing -> at the top there'll be a button called share folders, click on it, share your libarary (if you don't some users wont let you dl). then go to the search tab and search for music, right clicking on the folder name will bring down a drop-down menue that allows you to download the entire folder. if you get stuck google is your friend, but it isn't hard
>it just becomes a music share thread
>ITT genres made specifically for unemployable tumblrfags who have their head in their clouds and are not cut out for any real world careers
i hope you fags enjoy buying hot topic shit with your autismbux
>dark idm/experimental electronic
I made this a while back, not sure what to consider it besides dark, industrial influenced IDM/acid house I guess?
lol exactly my first reaction. now, a year later, I have 200 gigs of music
Never forget where you came from:
