/bleep/ thread, everybody
Damn, so much fun.

Also there seems to be a new Boxcutter EP, might be cool.

Considering chicken noise and mumdance are stepping in the mix on R1Dance soon.
>not having daniel bedingfields voice saying 'i've gotta get thru this' to you whenever you are in times of severe turmoil as a result of rinsing that tune as a child
sometimes i try and figure out the exact moment where everything went wrong

id rather they get into good stuff right away rather than start listening to actress burial blawan and kassem mosse and start posting like they know /bleep/s
i've been putting off listening to it because i havn't really got into footwork yet and i just want to here better than tomorrow era fracture but i'l probably listen at some point. also wasn't really feeling his latest ep on exit.
Jungle: https://soundcloud.com/uncledugs/dugsremarc (starts halfway through)
And this is literally the best Jungle mix ever made: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGoUN7XRrmE (it's not the full thing though).
ahahaha missed any out there chief
are you at least listening to it now?
lmao there used to be a group of chav rudeboys in my area that would drive around in a vauxhall corsa with all of their middle fingers out the window to this track
Delroy's still the man, I haven't listened to DJ Punisher yet, but I really dug Teenage Tapes
I've been out of the entire music loop since late May and need some catching up.
Essential bleeps I've missed? Downloading Pinch B2B Mumdance right now.
I tried going on FACT but it's all shitty trap mixtapes and Vice headlines it seems
Fact gets too much shit
It has a couple faggy Vice-ter articles per week, but so many more right on the dot album announcements and updates.
FACTmixes are generally the most interesting podcasts for me too.
Joe Muggs is a fagboi tho
it's not always /bleep/ related tho
mesh's is a proper mix and one of the best of the year imo
Who are some up and coming producers that have yet to hit it big on the underground scene? Been wanting to add some fresh faces to my library.
I'm diggin' Zootie. What kind of break is that? Don't really like Yayla. A little too ADHD for my tastes. I guess I like my 4 on the floor a bit more traditional.
Also is it just me, or are the majority of posters in this thread from the UK? Where's the Berliners?
>tfw not living in Berlin
>or is bleep just this UK breaks stuff...
no usually there is a load of techno neets shitposting about people liking grime and garage.
i like detroit style and some of the more heavy minimal stuff. not hugely educated in the genre tho.
please post international /bleep/ scenes this has become a recent interest of mine. like does china or india have electronic music scenes? part of me says they must do but i'm having trouble finding anything outside of typical soundcloudshit "INDIAN HOUSE PRDOUCER PLEASE LIKE ND SUSCRIBE"
stuff i've been listening too
There was an RA piece on clubbing in Shanghai last year which was pretty interesting http://www.residentadvisor.net/feature.aspx?1568.
The author points out that clubbing and club music is a Western thing and is pretty fucking foreign in places like China so I think we will be waiting a while for a natural scene and sound from places in the East, rather than a scene made for and by expats.
Still, it's an interesting article and if I'm ever in Shanghai I'm going to buy a lot of research chemicals and cut shapes in The Shelter.
>clubbing and club music is a Western thing
i think this is true to a degree, but there is still music that is /bleep/ made outside of a direct influence. like shangaan style, it's more of a community thing.
i think something like this could be /bleep/ in retrospect even if his intentions at the time was to make an electronic disco beat.
GREG MOTHERFUCKING BEATO
no hype, this guy is one of my favourite producers right now
not even him but
Autechre's remix of Skeng is better than the original.
>mfw DJ Sprinkles and DJ EZ are playing the same night here in Miami on August 15th
>mfw I might be opening for DJ EZ that night
And that's why I don't post in these threads anymore
elitist yet uneducated grime listeners from the UK or something that think they know everything.
I been thinking about that dbridge rant. First off I don't think things are as rosy in the Dnb scene as he says in musical terms. Too clean and flash a lot of the time. The labels and artists have failed, largely to deliver the distressed minimalism that people want (and is frankly a lot more interesting than your average liquid or mnml dnb track).
But really, dnb's got an image problem. He hit the nail on the head with that passing comment he made about limited vinyls hand stamped by angels in Berlin. Techno has managed to do this whole cool and kvlt thing very well. It's not the 90s anymore, Samurais and ninjas not cool. Kvlt dnb - there's a RA label of the month idea right there.
This is some good ass-fucking shit, grab it while it's hot lads
im not scared of u dicked u think u can chat big on the internet but i WILL come & merk u and ur family if u dnt fuck off. dnt fkn test me bruv. i listn to so much fukin old school techno mate u dnt even kno u lil cunt
Lmao. All that much worse because all these people needed to do was use washed out, grainy images of drug addled hippies at jungle raves and the cool crowd would have at least listened.
why is artwork in dnb so shit, even when its 'clean' its still crappy.
For someone like me that only listens to labels and buys records that have a strong asethetic to them such as Night Slugs, L.I.E.S and Hessle Audio, Russian Torrent Verions etc its no wonder most of us people with more deeper taste in bleeps just think its trash.
If you want to capture the fashion, art and forward thinking crowd, you need to have those things first which going on it's track record dnb will never have.
i agree drum and bass has no visual asthetic at all.
most of it is just dancefloor crap anyway even stuff exit records puts out would only make sense in a live setting where snapbacks are present, who in there right mind wants to listen to such garbage or be associated with it.
This is what the lo-fi thing has going for it, they will never be on the same level as us unless they quickly change things.
You can easily apply the same thing to people that listen to grime lol that music is just inexcusable crap for degenerate chav's.
It makes gabba look good.
