About to go deep into this album.
>>47623737
so the whole 2 inches?
>>47623758
only while 1 is less then 2, amiright
>>47623737
Listened to most of it, liked it so far, would give it a 7.5/10
>>47623854
Still waiting for my FLACC download to finish, not much longer.
I Pre-ordered the CD and apparently I have to wait another week for that to be available. But I am listening to preview snippets of it via different music sites. Sounds great as fuck.
>>47623980
It's on the bay and Beatport.
I'm 2 songs in now! So far, so good.
pets and seeya is great
>>47623737
I thought it was a bit disappointing. There were a lot of good moments though.
Probably a 5 from me
>>47624082
I like everything he previewed and I'm listening to Somewhere Up Here and I REALLY like this one.
>>47624094
It's different, and I like that about it. Especially compared to what the EDM world has been shitting out the last 2 years.
I think it's perfect background noise or easy listening material.
Some songs though, are fucking amazing, imo.
its very introspective, more so than his previous stuff. interesting shit.
you guys are fuckin faggits, the album's pretty good
The only think that dissapoints me is Somewhere Up Here. Long ago, it used to be this 13 minute song that was absolute bliss. Now it's all shortened and stuff. Still sounds ok I guess. That's my only complaint so far.
>>47624318
Well you can still listen to the 13mn song right ?
So I don't see the problem really
>>47624318
Listening to that right now and I fucking love it
Don't know about the 13 minutes one though
>>47624328
You are absolutely correct, muh friend. I don't know I just kinda wanted to see that version go to the ears of all the masses. Oh well.
>>47624371
Well I didn't know it and I'm going to check it out as soon as I come back from Uni.
Any other recommendations from his more underground stuff ?
>>47624371
Oh right the 13 minute version was codenamed Drop The Poptart. It features vocals by Colleen D'Agostino.

>>47624318
I agree. Also Acedia used to be insanely gorgeous but somehow it's not as great. Luckily the other version still exists
>>47624431
this is so amazing. I can only imagine hearing that live
>>47624491
Link to the other version?
I liked Acedia in the beginning and then it got stale towards the end.
>>47624431
aw man thats really beautiful, i wish that was on the album too

Much more comfy, which is exactly what's appealing about it
>>47624651
I think I heard that on his soundcloud before he deleted it all.
>>47624651
Good shit right there. The piano in these songs is fucking on point.
whatever happened to the deadmau5 hate on this board, not that I'm complaining, I like deadmau5, but what happened?
>>47624761
Haters must be sleeping
>>47624789
it got boring really quickly
basically anyone who had anything on topic to say about the album got called Joel and told to go to bed
>>47624970
go to bed joel
>>47625024
already had most of these songs but it's nice to have them in good quality
>>47624402
Another dude here, but I gotcha covered. Here are some of my favourites

This is from his really early days before he was deadmau5, but it's stunning imo. First time I heard it I listened to it three times in a row.

Here's deadmau5 doing a more traditional trance tune, it's so powerful.

I wouldn't say this is underground, but it's not on any of his album. The melodies and tone on this song are gorgeous.
>>47624761
Him putting out a less mainstream, actually good album (compared to his last few efforts) definitely helped.
>>47625540

This song is also amazing, and one of the first songs he released as deadmau5.
>>47625540
Thanks ! I already knew Aural Psynapse and Jaded these are awesome tunes. Thanks for Intelstat, going to check it out.
>>47625636
Also checking out this one
>>47625636
Nevermind, already knew it, good one.
>>47625705
My pleasure man. Also if you haven't heard much from his "At Play" albums, I'd definitely recommend checking them out. Some of my favourite mau5 material is on them.

Here's another early one, if you haven't already heard it. Especially interesting since it contains a middle breakdown part he later reuses and revamps for the breakdown part of "Cthullu Sleeps"
>>47625792
I've heard some tunes from the others "At play" albums (mainly vol.2), but not a lot from vol.1, going to download them all.
>>47625806
Never heard of that one, thank you. Feels very different from his new stuff, in a good way.
>>47625821
Yeah it's really interesting to hear his early stuff, he really was all over the map in terms of his sound. Made a loooooot of psy trance, and even dabbled in french house:

If you're curious about his early stuff definitely download "deadmau5 circa 1998-2002. Some real gems on it, plus it's just interesting as a fan to see how far he's come
>thread closed
>tfw deadmau5 monitoring thread and plebs don't know it
>>47625865
Sure thing faggot
>>47625854
Thank you, I guess it's time for The Pirate Bay
>>47625912
>tfw deadmau5 alter-ego
Is it good?
>>47627583
people are divided. I love it personally.
