The point of these threads is to encourage people to look for new and interesting music. We do this by listening to and ideally discussing albums we've never heard before. Many of us already listen to new music daily, these people are in it to venture "out of their comfort zone" by listening to albums they otherwise wouldn't have, or just to have a good time.

Graham Lambkin - Salmon Run
>Sound collage, Musique concrete
A masterpiece that I just don't fully get. The atmosphere is haunting and at times uncomfortable but where it lost me was the meandering choral/string/piano sections. The lo-fi-ness works both to its favor and against it; it helps capture the mood Graham was obvious going for, but it also makes the collages a bit "clunky" for lack of a better word.

Surface of the Earth - Surface of the Earth
>Drone
Boring, run-of-the-mill, crackle and fuzz drone that lacks any sort of variation. The noise occasionally thrown on top is nothing to write home about either. Not bad, just really boring and over-long.

because all of his music is generic garbage with a DIY tryhard aesthetic
can we get an acoustic vocaroo thread going ?
anons play originals or covers, others post feedback & critique.
i'll start: simple cover of don't think twice it's alright

i am absolutely positive that there are enough acousticguitarbros on /mu/ for this to be a fun thread
https://vocaroo.com/i/s0LgORzMNn6F
These threads used to be pretty popular a few years ago but for whatever reason they don't really catch on much nowadays. Anyways, here's an unfinished original I've kept around for a while.

Not bad, but please tune your high e string. Also I think the song sounds much better when its finger picked throughout the whole thing. Sounded good at the beginning so I think you could have kept it going.

Here you go
Anyone here listens nearly no music at all?
It gets harder and harder for me to listen to a whole album. Even if it's good. I always end up quitting.
yep, it doesn't help that i hate everybody that listens to music so i refuse to give a lot of bands a go
>yeah I like post-rock lol. GY!BE, Sigur Ros, Mogwai, the list goes on

I'll never delete Ken Kaniff. It inspires me every time.
>listens to pixies once
kurt cited surfer rosa as one of his biggest influences so yeah
also its better than anything he ever made
Tfw he never hear indie cindy
The instrumentals were really fucking cool, shame it's ruined by Alice "Sounds like that chick from Evanescence" Glass. I don't know what it is, but her voice is annoying as fuck and gives this album some weird ass 2009 vibe.
Alice is a genius
oh god i hate numales oh god i hate numales oh god i hate numales oh god i hate numales oh god i hate numales oh god i hate numales
>Japanese Bonus Track
>Japanese
why?
>Japanese band covers non-Japanese track from a different genre entirely
>>74719169
everything over there is expensive and to discourage importing us/euro versions they give them a bonus song or two as incentive to buy the japanese release.
>>74719169
physical media still sells relatively well in Japan and it's more expensive than most other countries so record companies like to put added incentive to buy the album there.
Do you guys got any good music or music things to say?
everybody here is a poser and frankly, all music is bad
Is there any sitar on All Things Must Pass?
i don't know
can you repeat the question?
YOU'RE NOT THE BOSS OF ME NOW
