That yourfavouritemartian song about his love for Mr. Burns
>>68360609
i loock into my horizon but i can't see my future,
hidden is my plain as i spread my wings into the depths
harsher are my dots as i speak into the microphone trying to reconnect myself into what i see
harder do i speak internally as i say more than i try
more do i spread my incantations as i head the intonation
broken is the letter as my heart spreads through the honeysuckle
broken is the bread as it heads through my christian
onwards i speak into my hatred, hidden in the mirrors are my honors
my honors only honor my connor, broken is the mirror i treasure into my return

I must have listened to around 1200+ albums so far and everyday I discover lots of new great albums and i'm nowhere near close of reaching a level where i can sit down and say "well now I'm absolutely confident that I know a little of something when it comes to music". I am definitely not entry level yet and i didn't even post on /mu/ until i had listened to 200+ albums (not saying that you can't post here unless you have 200+ albums under your belt, just pointing out a trivia)
the XP meter to reach entry level is of 2500 albums plus all around basics of music theory. 2500 albums, and you can finally say you are an entry level /mu/tant.
Needless to say I'm not getting out anytime soon, it will take another year or more. Not worried

I only have like 40 ratings. I don't really use RYM. I still haven't figured out a consistent rating scale.

What's your opinion on Robert Christgau?
>>68360269
He's amusing when he's panning something bad, but it would appear he does it by dumb luck more than good taste.
I thought he died, killed with a big fucking cock
he's a grandpa pushing mid 70's yet still understands pop culture the intentions of artists like soulja boy better than a lot of the spergs on here
Chart thread, post yours, rec others, maybe guess something about the people.

same problem with tame impala, they're both adored by teenagers on tumblr who only know their most popular singles so they're held in lesser regard by /mu/
lonerism and salad days are masterpieces and /mu/ tries its hardest to deny that
Why is Japan the only good Asia country when it comes to music?
>inb4 some /daily/fag or RYMer cries about his favorite trad piece or some shitty psych comp from some third world asia shithole
Haha fuck you OP you forget the glorious music of Dear Leader's most magnificent military and prosperous peoples. Now go to labor camp.

I was so ready to talk about thai Molam, no I can't :(
Because unlike other Asian countries, they have a lot of big corporations, both international and domestic investing money into their entertainment industry. Combine that with a government that is just itching for tourism and you have a "thriving" entertainment industry.
Reminder that good entertainment and good art (or, good music) are not synonymous.
Does /mu/ like Mass of The Fermenting Dregs?
They're alright.
>>68359970
In the way you like the local band opening for some act where you nod your head slightly and think to your self 'not bad'. There are far more interesting acts in far less terrible genres I can be listening to.
>>68360047
Any recs then pal? :)
