So I read all the lyrics of the first 3 Dragonforce albums and made note of all of the mentioned locations and entities, and then tried to piece together a coherent world/timeline from it. Here's my results.

It's only the first 3 albums because they turn into cyber-warriors or some shit in the 4th album, and then I don't give a fuck about anything involving the new singer.

BEST GUESS
Forces of underworld attacked, mostly destroying the human world. Rather than
the spirits being able to pass on, they are trapped in a sort of spirit world/
purgatory called the Land of Loneliness. While their souls wander here, the
demons use their earthly bodies as zombie warriors. Those that have fought a
way outside of their own minds/The Land of Loneliness have returned to the
material world as spirit warriors, and continue the battle against the
demons and their Master of Evil with the help of angels. Dragons are a neutral
third party that sometimes help the humans and sometimes hurt them.

Chronology
Valley of the Damned
Humans have weakened themselves via infighting and a failed war against
the dragons. The Disciples of Babylon are a necromatic cult that raise the
first zombie soldiers. They use the openings created in the weakened
kingdoms to vie for more power.
Sonic Firestorm
Once powerful enough, the demons lending the Disciples of Babylon their
power take over via possession. Hell opens up and demons run amok. Angels
lend their aid but to no avail.
Inhuman Rampage
Humanity has lost, and the material plane is fully opened to Hell. The
lost souls have organized enough in the Land of Loneliness to come back
in large numbers to fight the demons as never ending spirits. The battle
rages ever on.

Green day have always been, and will always be, the musical equivalent of using a week-old piece of bread, breaking it (not slicing it) in half, pouring mayo in the middle, squishing the halves together and calling it a sandwich.
