Not a troll post I swear.
What's the appeal? Is it supposed to be depressing? Hauntingly nostalgic? Who is the target demographic, since it's obviously not ""normies"" What's the message? Where would I go IRL to listen to this music played? Is this an Internet only genre? What type of people are drawn to vaporwave?? (in b4 edgy teenagers or whatever shitpost)

Aesthetics. Duh.

What do you think about vaporware? That will help us answer your questions
>>68591125
It is the definition of a meme genre
The rock and roll hall of fame is the biggest joke ever. No joy division, new order, my bloody valentine, nine inch nails, etc. It's probably a safe bet that next year they will nominate, but not accept radiohead, thus cementing it's status as a joke.
>implying anyone cares about the rock and roll hall of fame
The fact that you think Radiohead should be included tells me you are as much of a joke as they are.

>Pitchfork
0-6 bad
6-7.5 good
7.5-8.5 very good
8.5-10 overrated crap
>>68590870
It's wrong.
Scruffi looks okay
P4k 5.5's are considered pretty bad pans, so that one needs some adjusting.
Fantano's "insanely good" should strtch to light 9, and adjust from there.
Christgau is good. btw he is the best critic here
changed
Emotional electronic album suggestions.
big up dj andy scott emotional dubtechno
I love the ambient bits in this album
/triphop/ thread
post your favourite trip hop albums or songs i'll start with Massive Attack's Heligoland
I've always enjoyed trip-hop, but it's such a limited genre that it's not even worth discussing.
All I can is that Mezzanine and Dummy are my fav albums from the genre, and I've always felt that Maxinquaye is overrated (Tricky's later albums are overlooked imo)
Trip-hop definitely spans more than the 90's Bristol artists. Maybe it also depends on how you define the genre.
Bonobo's older works count for me!

They need to change their sound already. It's okay, but they've been doing the same thing since 2009 and the returns are diminishing.

THIS WEEK'S THEME: Baroque
COMPILED BY: Montezaffiro

Posting with names or tripcodes is encouraged as it makes discussion much easier.
1. Hear My Prayer O Lord - Henry Purcell
Choir of King's College, dir. Willcocks
One of Purcell's finest works. The increasingly plaintive cries from the choir build and build until the final resolution. The double choir setting also allows for a thicker texture in the build-up
2. Violin Concerto in E-flat major ' La Tempesta di Mare', Op. 8 No. 5, RV 253 - I. Presto
Andrew Manze, The Academy of Ancient Music
Quite obviously Vivaldi. Doesn't fall prey to what is often one of Vivaldi's major failings (great start, then falls apart). Manze's Vivaldi is quite spectacular too.
is the regular thread on Thursdays? And this is the reveal thread?
These are the greatest singers ever.

how do you think Annie Clark's (aka St. Vincent) skyrocketing middle aged libido will influence her future works?

When will she stop craving human interaction? In 4 years?
When will you stop making this shitposting threads?
