Anyone have any music from games they'd like to share? Any thoughts on this song. I remember I'd play this game with my friend Anthony for months and raise chaos. We never beat the game! We had so much fun though. I used to worry that the sun was gonna explode one day but all anyone ever told me was "Don't worry about it you'll be dead by then." I guess eventually I forgot about it though. But one day in P.E I was sitting around and I saw like lines above the concrete, like the kind of stuff one sees when it's really hot outside. I don't know the name for it. I thought that meant the sun was about to exsplode! Lol, that has something to do with why I was always interested in cosmology; the ultimate fate of the universe. I think the universe must be something that goes on forever, because I feel like 7-12 billion years is a very short time in the whole realm of infinity. I think if it didn't go on forever I probably wouldn't be lucky enough to be alive now. I've read that nobody knows, but that's what I think. Sorry if off-topic.

Polling for any recommendations for synthwave artists and/or albums. I really dig Perturbator, especially his slower tracks. Minuit off of Dangerous Days and Sentient off of Uncanny Valley are some favorites.

Do other artists do a lot of work like this? I tried searching around on rateyourmusic.com until they cut me off for loading pages too fast.

It helps to read good hard books (like penguin classics) or similar, a good newspaper a day. Also really helpful is write a journal on your tablet or whatever every day, telling yourself what you did and telling the truth, but also become aware of entertaining yourself. Next, do you have 9 months to do a grammar course? Also dabble or even start to learn a new language.

Rocket From The Crypt - Hot Charity. Top 10 punk albums of all time. Same guitarist as Drive Like Jehu. Released on vinyl ONLY in 1995. No CD until 2000 or so. No reviews from major sites/mags because of this. It is its own genre, I call it symphonic punk. Big/thick sounds, Phil Spector/Brian Wilson layered production. Piano, horns, strings, epic backing vocals. Strong cool weird lyrics, more Pixies than 90s mall punk or Ska. First instrumental is kinda weak, everything else is a burner or a stunner.

Rocket From The Crypt was the non-pussy version of Weezer.

The only reason they failed is because they had that southern california punk style + horns and got lumped in with the pleb ska/punk revival. Like if you look at their photos from that time they look like Bosstones or No Doubt tier. Its sad. They should've been one of the biggest bands of the 90s, but they were too talented musically and too weird lyrically to be part of the Green Day/Blink-182 scene, and too corny looking to be embraced by the hipsters and indierockers of the time, even though John's other band Drive Like Jehu was the ultimate hipster/indie rock band. Such a failure on everyone's part.
