Rec me a new turntable. Would prefer under 150$.

Literally nothing good is under $200. Vinyl isn't for poorfags

I learned this the hard way
When will /mu/ admit that this is the best album of all time

When you get off the internet, Gramps.
not even the best pink floyd album. Atom Heart Mother or bust jigga nigga
>literally contrarian: the album
What's next, early Beach Boys was better than late Beach Boys?
Once you've figured him out, it's laughably easy to guess whether he'll like an album or not.
>good
1. Songs should be basic three-chord rock
2. Songs are fast and flowing
3. Songs are upbeat, nothing depressing or angry
4. Artist is from NYC
>bad
1. Songs about sexually dominating other people
2. Sci-fi/Tolkien crap
3. Sub-100 bpm tempos/jerky, uneven flow
4. Songs are longer than 3:30
5. Album is slick/heavily produced
That should about cover everything.
If he's such a poptimist why did he sad face Weezer's Blue Album?
>>68618983
Pretty much. Also be a huge cuck for rap, everything gets an a- just for being made by a black man..or least one on the cover.
Make sure to hate heavy metal and prog but love the band Faces.
>>68619084
Eh? There's lots of rappers he didn't like for example, Tupac, DMX, Nelly, and 50 Cent. He did like Biggie, mostly because New Yorker.
/mu/ thoughts on electro-swing?
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
I like it
I like the music, not sure how I feel about the fanbase.
Opinions on this album? I think it's of Montreal's best. Maybe even better than SmiLe
Agree 100%
Hissing Fauna tho
Not in my top 5 but that means nothing for a band as incredible as Of Montreal. Coquelicot's a brilliant album with zany melodies, complex polyrhythms, and outrageous lyricism. It's an incredibly dense album but definitely rewarding
Hi, I'm the better version of At The Drive-In - Relationship Of Command. No one cares even though PF gave me a 9.0, and I was recorded 6 YEARS before Relationship.

>tfw unrequited love
Anyone got music for this feel? All of the depression-core music I know of is post relationship. I need some good shit that reminds me I'll never be in a relationship in the first place.

unrequited love is the only true love

But seriously, this song is (and album) is so relatable that I cringe at my own existence. 10/10
I'm a nerdy English major so I tend to focus mainly on lyrical content when listening to music. I honestly think pic related (& Aesop's back catalog) is some of the best poetry of the century thus far. Who are some similarly poetic and lyrically dense artists? Any genre, any lyrical themes.
Lyrically, nothing will ever top None Shall Pass, although a lot of the beats on The Impossible Kid are fire
earl sweatshirt, even his early stuff if you're more of a style-over-substance kind of guy. What I mean by that is that his Odd Future work is topically immature af, but still has a lot of the same heavy assonance and internal rhyming as his later stuff.
outside of rap, i guess Bob Dylan did just win a nobel prize for lit, bruce springsteen for storytelling more than poetry, and 'Why?' is great,
David Sylvian is my favorite lyricist.
