never heard anything else there though

That Elliott Smith album is nice, but so is everything else. Nice taste! Listen to Burst Apart by the Antlers if you haven't already, I think you'll really like it.

Is Axl Rose the Roger Waters of metal?
When listening to songs like:
>Locomotive
>Better
>The Garden
>Estranged
>Coma
>Yesterdays
>Cather in the Rye
>There was a Time
>Madagascar
>Sorry
>Bad Apples
>If the World
>I.R.S.
>Street of Dreams
>My Michelle
>This I Love
Tell me Axl doesn't hown that same ability to deliver vocals and lyrics tailored to the melodies and compositions like Roger did with the Floyd and post-Floyd like Amused to Death.
>Axl Rose
>metal

How do I sing like him?

Here's the thing about Freddie.
I'm getting a hefty raise in two weeks, and I'm going to begin investing in music hoarding, but there's so many different formats out there.
So for you audiophiles, what format is more superior? CD? Vynil? Digital etc?
buy cassette tapes, you triple nigger
8-tracks
I don't know why /mu/ makes it seem as though you have to dedicate yourself to one physical format. I personally try to collect as much as I can from albums I love, regardless of the format. Every format has it's pros and cons, which makes it enjoyable to listen to music on multiple medias. In terms of sound quality, CD's are probably your best bet, unless you are really rich and can afford an incredible record set up.
what does he listen to /mu/?
I think this guy listens to Ween
?
??
What's your favorite ska band, discuss why. I'll start
Close tie between Reel big fish and Less than Jake, but Reel big fish wins out. They have a nice range of sounds, plus they have a very stylized way of doing shit. They can manage to talk about real shit, but at the same time still be funny and creative.

Streetlight Manifesto.
>>68620878
Five Iron Frenzy.
I love the many sounds of them, the singer's style, their easy-going themes....
I believe Quantity is Job EP is a work to be recommended.
>>68620878
I like The Specials and Madness, even if they're a bit underrated
Is it bad both my favourite bands are /mu/-core or does it just not matter at all?
Realistically? No. though you should try to expand your taste as much as possible.
>>68620837
Oh don't get me wrong. I am constantly on the search for new music and am willing to try to get into most genres. But I just feel plebby that AF and Slint are the two bands I enjoy the most.
>>68620872
Literally nobody's opinion matters but your own, just like them if you want to
>the band/artist's most well known song is also one of the worst songs they made
Has this ever happen?
>creep
Smells like teen spirit. Best song is objectively big long now
Seasons (Waiting On You) by Future Islands
Even won song of the year from P4K (aka where /mu/ faggots steal their opinions)
do you guys have any genuinely controversial opinions about music in general as an art form?
>>68620674
I like it
not really, no
I don't think you should make money off it. I love the creativity of it but the monetary shit is evil.
What does /MU/ think about Lauren Mayberry and CHVRCHES?
Never heard of them, post more of the girl to help me form opinion

Same.
Surprised she played it live last month when I saw her as she hardly ever does it.
>>68620581
Excellent song choice. Bjork is pretty awesome. I would probably go with something else by her though, maybe Unravel or Joga or maybe even Pagan Poetry (not really fitting the theme though.) Anyway, a good song to kill myself to would maybe be something off Carrie and Lowell, like Death With Dignity or something of that nature.
You're bringing a cool girl who you want to fuck home for the first time.
Spiderland or Soundtracks for the Blind?
(yeah that girl is like a movie girl who's into weird music just to cater to your criteria)
Neither if you're actually serious.
Women can't understand either album, and will probably think you're creepy if you play it, no matter how "weird" and "unique" you think she is.
I always play loveless.
Two of the worst albums possible to fuck to, because it's not even like you could tune it out like sometimes with bad music. I guess spiderland, at least it's just quiet more often
John Lennon was the best Beatle, prove me wrong (protip, you can't)
I agree. Nu males are going to come into this thread full force claiming it's George.
>>68620505
George was a beta fag who did nothing for music and died from cancer like a pussy
>>68620521
He did survive a stabbing and beat the shit out of the attacker with a sitar though.
does /mu/ like ADTR? why or why not? best/worst album?
You're not gonna get very many positive comments in this thread, but I enjoy them. Homesick has the best songs, but Common Courtesy is probably the most consistent. Bad Vibrations was great.
Homesick was my jam in middle school. I honestly think they are probably one of the least cringy metalcore bands. I find there new stuff kind of boring though.
>>68620360
Update: I'm re-listening to Homesick right now. Still lives up desu
