they were indie darlings from birth, they never had anyone sit them down and tell them "no, this is shit. this is not okay."

pitchfork and similar sites told a generation pseudo-intellectual hipsters that this band was infallible and perfect and they ate it up. the band quickly noticed and let it go to their head, as is made obvious by the embarrassing, pretentious marketing campaign that is the most basic and bland criticism of consumerism ever.

I haven't gotten through it fully but s2 feels a little more tonally consistent or at lest the tracks flow into each other unlike the first four off s1, so I'd probably go with it

2 is better.

2nd one had less lows and more highs. Neither of them are really that good desu.
