>ITT:your nationality (be specific, not white, black, brown etc) and the WORST album by a band you like
Irish, English, Scottish, French, Czech, Swedish, German, & supposedly some Native American (but aren't we all)
>liking the beatles
Argentine (German and Spanish)
Dutch
>"Woman is the Nigger of the World, think about it"
What did John Lennon mean by this?
>>68974088
As in the "new n*ggers" of the world because there still wasn't full equality for them like how segregation and slavery was not equal.
The title of this song was coined by Yoko in 1969. In nearly all the cultures of the world, women are oppressed in the same way that black people were in 60s America.
Paul McCartney had already sung about the troubles facing black women in the Beatles' song Blackbird.
Anyone else glad that this wife beating sjw hippy got killed?
Gf just broke up with me out of the blue. Give me some music to embrace the feels.

Noise is something I want to get into. Currently I like:
>Whitehouse, Hanatarash, Hijokaidan
But I want to listen to more.
Anyone have any good rec's? Please don't say Merzbow.

>bubblegum industrial
how is that """bubblegum"""?
>>68973931
Yellow Swans if you want something a bit more ambient (or Jefre Cantu-Ledesma for even more contemporary ambient noise)
Controlled Bleeding for extended techniques (e.g. found sound etc)
Masonna for all-out harsh sounds
Ramleh for an industrial and classic sound
Some rock bands have experimented with noise or mixed rock-based music with noise: The Body & Full of Hell released an album this year which incorporates noise, Sonic Youth did a record called "Silver Session" which is feedback-driven noise, Fushitsusha get loud enough to be called noise sometimes.
THE SUN COMES UP
AND I'M ALL WASHED OUT
IS THIS WHAT DEANER WAS TALKING ABOUT
You fucked up - You bitch
You really fucked up
You fucked up - You fucking nazi whore
so, i'm late to the game. grew up on punk rock like nofx and rancid. one free concert ticket, and an 1/8 of mushrooms got me into the phish scene back in '98. saw ween at lockn' this summer, and they blew my fucking mind. like, jaw on the floor amazement. really made me wonder how my life would have changed had i found ween back then. after i dug into the catalog, ween is definitely a band i would have become obsessed over. well, no time like the present. glad that gener is healthy, and the band seems happy, so hopefully we get many more years of live shows and new, exciting live music.
long live the boognish
ween is releasing their first album since 2008. it's a live show recorded just days after 9/11. they played through their album "god WEEN satan"
Uncertain whether or not to cancel their re-release party for GodWeenSatan: The Oneness on Sept. 14, 2001, just days after the tragic events of 9/11, Ween took the stage at their local bar, John & Peter’s, in New Hope, PA. What unfolded was pure catharsis for both the band and the packed crowd. Ween ran through the album in its entirety and captured the show on 24-track tape. This release, the band’s first since 2008, is that never-before-heard recording.
What's the first thing that comes into your head when you see someone with a huge vinyl collection?

Cybergrind is one.
Well you can start with Big Black
literally Death Grips (specifically Exmilitary and Jenny Death)
I love Optimistic so fucking much.

It was the first song that got me hooked onto Radiohead in Middle school. It's still one of my favorite tracks to this day.
>>68973737
Idioteque is the best song on the album.
Kid A is one of Radiohead's more experimental albums. Probably their most experimental one, in fact. My favorite song from it is either National Anthem or Idioteque.
Still prefer OK Computer, though.
Heres mine:
>The Smashing Pumpkins
>Arctic Monkeys
>Radiohead
>John Maus
>The Who

last night I put on headphones and listened to this in the dark. It's really a great album. It sounds bizarre and otherworldly.
ALLELUJAH! is still my favourite
Also like Nicolas Jaar - Space is only noise
Fuck Buttons - Slow Focus
Clams Casino's instrumentals and rainforest EP
and the first ASAP Rocky album
