-This thread stands with Kesha eternally

-This thread hypes and supports DIIV, Japandroids, The xx, John Cale, Foxygen, and each & every poster here
-/p4k/ forever and for always.
what will p4k choose as aoty? i'm guessing blonde or blackstar, but there's no clear winner as there almost always is because, correct me if i'm wrong, only coloring book and a moon shaped pool got over 9.0? i do think Life of Pablo is probably the best and most representative album of the year, but i know Kendrick Lamar is the only artist to receive AOTY twice to date, and they flaked on handing it out to Yeezus in 2013. idk. ideas?
>>69125360
definitely Blonde for AOTY
(I'd also be fine with them giving it to Radiohead but that's not happening on this planet)
>>69125360
they'll most likely give it to blonde, none of the other albums match up in terms of hype besides maybe TLOP it might not even make top 3 it was so lackluster
Name one example of "good obscure music" being lost forever with the death of what.cd. Prove to me that this was "a digital Library of Alexandria" and not just a haven for poorfags with autism.
nice try but you'll never get my good obscure post-punk you silly rabbit
>>69125229
If it's so good, then shouldn't you want it to inspire people to make more good music?
You, my friend, are a hare that is ridiculous.
what.cd pretty much only had surface level normie shit
When I would look for hard to find classical or jazz recordings I'd have much better luck on slsk and rutracker
Hey /mu/, ask a literal normie anything.
Literally JUST started really listening to music so don't go too hard. Recommendations, essential charts, similar artists, anything really.
>inb4 b8
Nope
>>69125191
Well you're off to a pretty good start.
Do you have any favorite genres?
And do you know any David Bowie?
Cause if not I'm reccing you some David ASAP. Once you tell me some of your favorite genres I'll give you some Bowie recs that match.
>>69125191
how are you today

Have you heard of Death Grips?
WTF this wasn't supposed to make me sad
>>69125107
There are people who unironically think the Beatles were better
>>69125153
yes, like 98% of the population in the world
>>69125153
yeah, and then there are the people who have never listened to the beatles
Is this the most underrated Scaruffi 9? I've never seen it get any real recognition outside his list. Metalheads write it off for being too experimental and punky for them to get and everyone else writes it off as being too metal to take seriously artistically if they even hear any of it in the first place.
FUCK SCARUFFI AND OP IN THEIR SAD LITTLE ASSES
>>69125103
>little
are you sure you aren't scaruffi yourself?

What's supposed to be the difference between "Alternative" and "Pop"?
In the '90s? There was none...
>>69124418
Thought so.
Didn't mean for this thread to come across as a diss on Radiohead. I like OK Computer and I like pop music and I don't see why people pretend they're any different.
>>69124439
Thom Yorke literally said in an interview that OKC was pop music.
We got London on da track
>>69124396

HUNNID BANDS HUNNID BANDS
METRO BOOMIN WANT SUM MORE NIGGA
Hey guys I've been SUPER into this crunchy band from the late 80'summer called "Ween". They're officially labeled as "Alt. Rock" but their genre selection and psychedelic sounds and lyrics are pretty great. From what I've seen they're pretty fucking obscure. Having released several albums under their own label "Chocodog Records" but not much is known for the "Mainstream media" but they have a large cult following. In short Ween thread. GO!.
-Stay Brown
-Hail Boognish
my favorite weens are mollusk and birthday boy
>>69124349
wtf
>>69124349
Ween is the greatest band in the world.
With the exceptions of a few photos, i'm pretty sure Buckethead qualifies
Buckethead's name is Brian Carroll
>>69124342
Name an anonymous artist's who's name we don't know.
Isn't it a legal requirement for the artist to put their legal name down anyway to get songwriting credit?
Even though it doesn't sound as good, I think it'd be easier to name artists who simply obscure their identity.
I don't think I know any artists who practice complete anonymity. Like you said, Buckethead is probably the best example.
