Hi Mr. Ferraro, can I have your autograph?
Why is prog with long instrumental passages called wank? Wouldn't wank imply that it was needlessly complicated or showboating? Most prog instrumentals have very simple yet catchy riffs and aren't necessarily designed to impress anyone.
because wankery is a term that describes musical passages where you could imagine the instrumentalist being like inside of his own world while playing and it sounds almost exxagerated (what doesn't exclude quality) all the time, like one wanted to show others that he is really the best and has the whole fucking control of the stuff he's doing, like, "look at me, I resemble tridimesional mathematical patterns with music while playing 50 notes per second!"
That can be really compared to wanking, because, you know , while wanking you have also all the control to you, lol.
Its just showoff.

Holy shit, this album is beautiful. Their best work for sure.
Pretty good album, but STGSTV and Strawberry Jam are both superior IMO.
>>69185451
yeah, maybe not their best work IMO but still amazing, its the only album that can be called "feels" and not be a complete meme fest
>>69185471
No, it is their best work.

>According to her longtime Dap-Kings bandmate Gabriel Roth, Jones suffered a stroke while watching the Election results. “She told the people that were there that Trump gave her the stroke,” Roth told the Los Angeles Times. “She was blaming Trump for the whole thing.”
Jones suffered a second stroke the following day, at which point “she couldn’t really talk or respond.” However, she kept on singing up until the moment of her death.
