all of those albums are garbage
That's because they are still enchanted by discovering new music.
Does he deserve the title "King of Hip Hop?"
Hell no. Not with that 3 dud streak in the mid to late 2000s that's for damn sure.
No he is a sellout fuck him

Do those outweigh 3
actually 4
masterpieces that have become hip hop classics along with his massive impact on culture and popularity?
Hated reggae for my entire life on the assumption that it all sounded like Bob Marley and all that diet Bob Marley runoff that the 80s loved to make novelty hits.
Someone recently suggested I listen to this and despite going into it with an enormous level of skepticism I'm pretty sure it's the greatest fucking album I have ever heard.
So I have three questions; First, why didn't anyone tell me reggae was good? Second, why has the world made only the worst examples of the genre popular? Third, anything else I should check out?
Because you're a dumb kike and everyone hates you, you should check out the Brausebad

so are we going to start?
Now that the dust has settled, which is Vaporwaves magnum-opus?
>>69225821
eccojams, because its the most vaporwave you can get while being genuinely, 100% serious and artful, also its the first so it gets avant garde cred
If we're talking about the five most important albums for the development of vaporwave I would eliminate the left ass one and replace it with BB0.
I think that Floral Shoppe should be universally recognized as the most important album in the vaporwave movement. This album contains several key attributes which primed it for its role in solidifying a genre:
>Established a simple formula for imitators to emulate, leading to LOW BARRIERS OF ENTRY for others looking to join in on the fun
>Presented a subtle/familiar/unnerving aesthetic which successfully encompassed the popular nostalgia for the 90s
>Released by a faceless entity
>SPAMMED TO OBLIVION
The other albums on the list comparatively miss the mark compared to the genre-defining bar that Floral Shoppe set
>BB0 and 2814 aren't particularly nostalgic in their aesthetic
>FSV and Eccojams released by already well established artists
If I had to rank these albums though I would say Eccojams > Floral Shoppe > Far Side Virtual > BB0 > 2814
>he calls himself a music fan
>he can't play an instrument
>he calls himself a music fan
>he can play an instrument
>he plays 21 pilots songs on the ukelele
Does an SPD 30 count?
>he calls himself a music fan
>he plays bass guitar
cocteau twins & beach house
none
OP, why are you asking for the impossible?
Actually... Celine Dion is pretty good, but not a band.
>he fell for the FLAC meme
>he fell for the Asuka is best girl meme

''punk is right wing''
is he right?
Well he certainly wasn't left
>>69221246
interesting question. I think the answer is "punk is left wing, punks are right wing."
It's very political, but it is more to do with the individual. Johny Rotten couldn't say that he'd never vote conservative. I'm not sure if anarchy is outside of politics in the left right dialogue. To me we are in anarchy and punk's politics are a swerve looking for an angle to kick off of. Ramones always seemed more of a party band
In case you're too lazy to look it up

Murmur
arguably the most important album for the development of alternative rock
OPN just released an "Official master tape cassette rip" of eccojams on his store
http://pointnever.bigcartel.com/product/chuck-person-s-eccojams-vol-1
Will it sound much better? Will someone dare to take the plunge and put it on mega for all of us?
I don't know anything about music technically, how would this differ in sound if at all from the previous release?
Really interested to hear how it'll sound
I have the cassette. Still haven't listened to it and I'm too afraid to play it on my nakamichi. This rip will do.
The rest if the hip-hop genre has just been BTFO by A Tribe Called Quest.
Confirmed for hip-hop AOTY.
>>69210907
why do people care about this loser's opinion again?
>>69210907
>end the 80s with a forward thinking single
>three straight back-to-back genre defining classics in the 90s
>legacy continued past breakup in the Soulquarian group with members like D'Angelo and J Dilla releasing watershed albums in the 00s
>their style of conscious jazz rap still influences artists like Kendrick Lamar, who releases arguably the most critically celebrated album of the 10s (next to maybe MBDTF)
>still come back in 2016 and release the Hip-Hop AOTY
>>69210907
Too bad he didn't understand it. White people aren't allowed to listen or critique hip-hop.
