Is there a bigger uncle tom in da game right now tho?
Hopsin is the only answer.
The dude literally accused black people of being the only race that can't evolve.
>>69505220
do you even know what Uncle Tom means or did you just hear a black person say it once?
Who else is fucking excited for 2017? 5 new albums, the first comes on Feb. 24th.
Did anyone here go to Gizzfest? I'm dying to see them live and want to hear about it
>>69505139
just getting into them and while i dig em, im hoping to hear some new angles to their music. something with a different approach.
I'm assuming most of them will be EPs?
>>69505139
I was fucking hyped when they said their new album would be microtonal but in Rattlesnake they seemed really terrified of actually exploring the microtonal intervals
“Everything you do sounds wrong,” says Mackenzie. “You’re culturally attuned to a certain set of frequencies. Our challenge was to make music that didn’t sound too wrong within those parameters.” https://www.theguardian.com/music/2016/nov/12/king-gizzard-and-the-lizard-wizard-5-albums-in-2017
I really hope they grow some balls
What are some god-tier electronic musicians /mu/?
don't just trow the word "electronic" around, it triggers /mu/
>>69505114
??? what?
>>69505156
never mind
what kind of electronic music do have in mind?
What are some other albums where the guitar is soaked with delay or reverb?
What does /mu/ think of Goo Goo Dolls?
paved the way for every shitty momrock band that followed
They were a pretty decent Replacements ripoff band before they completely went pop.
I like the album in the OP and the song Here Is Gone. i think that's a sweet single
Why is the term "IDM" still being used? I thought we agreed that it's just techno, ambient, downtempo, etc. depending on the artist.
Egowanking
it's an awful term but its widespread use makes it convenient to use - you say IDM and people get an idea of what you are talking about. that is all there is to it.
>>69505021
because these young male kids want to feel special and different so they make up fancy new words so they could feel like their secret club has finally shit nobody actually listens to
reminder that mu doesnt care about music they think anything obscure and weird is good. so this isnt about good music this is about "gee, i´d want to be weirdest fucking freak and like things nobody likes".
so TL;DR you shouldnt give any fucks about what /mu/ thinks ever. they´re not into music they´re into forcing really bad obscure shit as a fashion statement.
Is El-P one of the best hip hop producers of all time?
>>69504893

My exact same reaction after listening to every Radiohead album - in order - in one whole sitting.
Guys,
I used to be young and naive and music meant the world to me. I used to have a favorite band, and one day I managed to meet these people. My life changed, somehow. For the better, I think. I'm old and jaded now, but to this day, they still are some of my favorite human beings. I just wanted to tell you this, /mu/.

I recently heard Inti Illimani's Viva Chile and cantos de pueblos andinos.I liked them a lot. Can anyone recommend some good Chilean albums and artists?

I really like most of Denver's albums

As a Chilean American, I've made some attempts to into Chilean music. But then I usually get side-tracked listening to some god-fucking-awful metal because the entire continent of South America is still pumping out amateurish trash/crossover like it's 1992 down there or something.
Bad metal from South America is like shitty house music from Western Europe -- I don't understand why it's made and I don't want to think about who's consuming it.
Pic related in that Nicolas Jaar is a Chilean American, and this album was a spot of alright.
fármacos, niño cohete, amarga marga
The second best Doom album
This is not up for debate
>>69504506
actually its the best
>>69504713
this
Doomsday is like a 7/10
Madvillainy > mm.. Food > vaudeville villain > operation doomsday > born like this > that one adult swim promo album
This is so much better than Deathconsciousness
non
>>69504443
Burial Society is the best song HANL, and Dan as well, have ever done. However, as an album experience, it doesn't have the same "larger than life" experience that Deathconsciousness does. Still a good and one of the most depressing albums I've ever heard though.
Deathconsciousness is boring
