exuma is good I guess but the others not so much
>>69528829
Gloomy and austere but highly insightful and clever. doesn't suck cock
>>69528778
A bit impulsive and emotional but it's alright cause you got an open mind. sucks cock
why do people listen to nirvana instead of thhe meat puppets?
most of the people I know don't even know who they are, and they like nirvana
You answered your own question
Is the only other Meat Puppets album comparable in quality to that album Up on the Sun?
>>69528854
Probably, but I have such a fucking boner for Golden Lies you can't imagine.
You listen to Soundtrack for the Blind
Then you move on to stuff like the Seer and To Be Kind if you liked that.
Swans is one of those bands that goes through cycles, Gira has changed their sound like 5 times over the span of their career.
>>69528630
Listen to To Be Kind. Then Greed. Then anything in their discography after that.
>>69528647
I really wouldn't listen to Soundtracks first. That's almost like suggesting TMR for someone interested in Beefheart.

>You listen to Soundtrack for the Blind
Soundtracks for the Blind can't be fully enjoyed without having listened to every other Swans album.
I'm trying to find hip hop that's lyrically interesting. Problem is, whenever I'm recommended hip hop that's supposed to be more lyrically refined than normal mainstream hip hop, it's still really boring, and mainly seems to revolve around "muh street life is a struggle" or "muh racism and oppression". Can anyone recommend hip hop that isn't so navel gazing and myopic lyrically?
Do you have any artists you Like? It is a hard description
>recommended hip hop that's supposed to be more lyrically refined
hopsin
I'm a casual fan of watsky but I don't listen to hip hop much
He doesn't take himself very seriously; it's kind of silly sometimes. The only album I'm really familiar with is "Nothing like the first time."
So maybe that?
Fave songs?
Rifle In The Closet
I've only heard his first two albums. Could somebody tell me what his best releases are? He seems pretty interesting so far.
Come back please come back
I don't know what to do
Come back oh please come back
>Tfw enjoying /mu/core
Kill me now
It'll pass. You'll buy all the albums, follow the hype then a year latter it'll seem the empty thing in the world and you'll be interested in some bloke from Finland that makes authentic bronze age harp recreations.
I feel you bro / femanon
You'll still be able to namedrop though
>>69528567
Depends where you live. Nobody here has heard of these people. Except that Disturbed is very popular.
Your rig
Whose is this?

No Joy - Wait to Pleasure
Homeshake - In the Shower
Why is Spanish the absolute best language for music?
Because it's spicy and soulful
it's portuguese tho
Italian sounds the best. Romance languages in general sound good cuz reasons
Thoughts on this?
He's my favorite artist of all time. House of Balloons is absolutely perfect.
With that said, I'm still not going to just blindly like anything he shits out.
I like the album though. I love the 80's sound, and I love that he was self aware enough not to fall into the Hollywood lifestyle. It speaks a lot about him as a person to me.
The track called reminder really sets the record straight on just what he's all about imo.
>>69527955
starboy was alright, his style changed a bit too much for me. HoB is 10/10 for sure tho.
Haven't listened and not really excited to.
I liked the first single, but it's been the case that I only find myself digging 2-3 tracks off any given release of his these days - his output since the trilogy has been so shoddy
>He's my favorite artist of all time
I have listened to this album countless times. I want to understand the hype. Its just not that great in my opinion
you're allowed to have your own opinions
k
What do you mean? Of course you love it, you listened to it countless times

77 without a doubt
Did they do drugs? Nips don't do drugs, right?
How could a band that doesn't exist be so wildly influential?
Hey /mu/, can I get some electronic drumkit recommendations? Preferable something on the cheaper side, like $200-$300 range.
Other than that, how about a general drum shit thread? My kit is pic related.
Bump. Also forgot to add, my kit is a Gretsch Catalina Jazz Kit. What drum stuff are y'all trying to score for Christmas??
>>69527705
Are you ok with a drum pad? Cause I've been using a really good one for years called the SPD 30.
>>69527705
mm 200-300 is going to get a pretty shit electric kit, id recommend putting 1000 in and getting a good it that will do what you want it to, as well as lasting longer than a year.
Look into the alesis forges, or possibly a middle range roland. Would recommend a yamaha, they're pretty average.
