Are there still albums we're waiting to drop this year?
that was pushed back to January
Apparently SZA of TDE still has an album due out. But that's because Top Dawg's CEO said there is supposed to be 6 albums from them out this year.
1. Untitled, Unmastered
2. Blankface LP
3. The Sun's Tirade
4. Introverted Intuition
5. Do What Thou Wilt.
6. ??? (SZA hopefully, it's been awhile)
Also waiting for Mos Def's album(s). Dec. 99th was supposed to be out December 9th. Still nothing.

Yep, just the only kinda related record I could think of
Please post calming and concentration-increasing music
Anything goes but these criterias must be met:
1) No vocals or lyrics (aids in concentration; harmonizing and scatting are fine; sampled strips of vocals are fine)
2) No complicated melodies (classical music are excepted)
Here's my contribution but I need more:

I'm tired of all the TMR shitposting.
So I thought I'll make a serious thread about TMR.
What's you opinion on the record? You think it's a great record or total bullshit?
one of these albums that you can listen over and over again and it never gets boring. A masterpiece all the way through.
>>69600952
this
It is one of my favorite records. Sometimes I think it's my absolute favorite. I listen to it 50-75 times a year in entirety, with certain tracks getting over 100 plays a year.
It took me years to get into, though. I've been listening to safe as Milk for almost a decade and loved it right off the bat. I downloaded tmr immediately after, but thought it was shit for a long time. Now I think it's infinitely better.
Thoughts on Kate Bush?
Won't fool me this time. That's not Kate Bush.
>>69600826
Maybe the best female musician of the '80s. The Kate Bush of this decade is pic related of the first post.
>>69600906
obejectively grimes can't be the kate bush of this decade
she has the body of a 10 yr old
Newfag here. I don't know how or where I acquired it, but I have had Discipline on my iPod for years but have never listened to it very often or given it much thought. The other day "Indiscipline" came on shuffle and smacked me in the face pretty hard, and since KC seems to be worshipped pretty hard around here, I figure you pricks could help guide me as I attempt to get into this band.
Should I just go chronologically? Are there any albums I should avoid or skip as a newfag? Did I spoil my experience by popping my cherry with Discipline?
For reference, I generally prefer dogshit music like Beefheart, Krautrock, early PiL, Scott Walker, and free jazz. Does this make me too gay for King Crimson?
Let a nigga know what's up.
>>69600812
>Should I just go chronologically?
yeah
go chronologically and skip everything except itcock, Red, and Discipline
can't be too gay for a band as gay as kc
Post two musicians who you think have nothing to do with each other, then other anons reply and try to link them through as few artists as possible. Don't do it through covers or samples like that other website does it, do it through collaborations, relatives, tour support etc. instead, and it'd be best if you explain each connection..
Example: Lou Reed and David Byrne
>Lou Reed
recorded Transformer with
>David Bowie
who recorded Low with
>Brian Eno
who recorded My Life in the Bush of Ghosts with
>David Byrne
OK, start with George Harrison and Bob Mould
>>69600696
Whosampled already does this automatically
>>69600718
Yeah, but it does it through covers and samples and things, which isn't as fun as trying to figure it out through direct connections.
>>69600696
Bono and Einsturzende Neubauten

/mu/ got me into a great band a while back but I've completely forgotten their name
Bluesy guitars, stripped down sound, depressing lyics, awesome live, pretty sure the singer was troubled guy who killed himself
They had a long winded name. Its driving me crazy, any ideas???
