Rush hated the original mastering on Vapor Trails so much the remastered version is kind of the only "acknowledged" version. Everyone would rather forget the original.

Album itself was a solid 8 though.

During the mastering of Katy Lied there was major problems with the NR system making the album sound like shit. Steely Dan refused to listed to the album even after the sound engineers said they fixed most of the probems

Pink Floyd (at least Gilmour and Waters) hate Atom Heart Mother, which is weird because it's one of their best albums

They also trash Obscured by Clouds for the "sibilance" on the vocals, which isn't even really there

new Impetuous Ritual for sure, metal aotysf by a lot. I'm super impressed by how well it creates this completely oppressive atmosphere without ever overstaying its welcome, always impressed by any album that's this short and still has such a strong effect on me
