post albums that you think are overrated BUT you love them anyway
I'd like to know when overrated became synonymous with bad or "not good" or when it happened that you couldn't like an album that you considered overrated.
Overrated just means that you don't believe it deserves the praise it gets, which to any levelheaded person, isn't unreasonable. Especially when 'greatest of all time', 'most influential' and 'masterpiece' are thrown around reviews like confetti. Technically, any album rated 10/10 by ANY publication is overrated.
all hip hop music is overrated because it's the worst popular music genre
anyway i don't like any overrated albums
how come they never officially collab'd?
FUCKING CHAD REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

She's more talented, attractive, and successful than her (ex-)husband. What in the world did she ever see in him in the first place?
Is this the best pop album of the century?
>>74802235
No. AA & Visions are.
>>74802235
Side B managed to be better
>>74802942

Does anyone have that favorite song and then you listen to it like 300 times then You hate it? If so what song?
I listened to Red Dot Music on repeat while smoking the first pack of cigarettes I ever bought while being angry at my parents for withholding love.
Good song but it kinda puts me in a weird mood now.
The new T. Swizzle song desu
ive heard Vanished by CC and Under your spell by desires like 1000x, i still like it but not that much
Who here /discman/?
mmmm get mah d i c c w e t
Last time I used one of these was when I was 11, 13 years ago.
Used a discman heavily during my teens and early 20s, 2002 to 2006. I had one before, I think I got my first in 1997. It was good but too sensible to shocks and the disc would skip, making it a hassle to use on car/train/bus trips.
The second one I got had an anti-shock system and while it still skipped sometimes if it got bumped hard, it was still miles better than the old one.
I still have it around, along with its AC cable.
I have some non-round shaped CDs that won't play on my more modern stereo or PC CD drive, so the only way I get to play them is with the discman.
Which one?
>>74802144
the one with Mark Knopfler on it
Both
It depends on my mood t.bh
how did they write so many appealing pop songs? i'd say about half of every album is instant-earworm status
>>74802036
they were just that fucking good
Name me a better songwriting duo than Lennon/McCartney
>>74802036
I don't know, but The Beatles especially Paul had an unparalleled ability to write a great melody.
a hard day's night in particular, the whole album, keeps getting stuck in my head

was it Doyle?
Hey /mu/, I have an opportunity to see Willie Nelson in a few weeks about an hour from where I live.
Problem is, the tickets are expensive (about $100 after those concert fees) and I'm going on vacation at the end of September. I'm also going to go by myself. But I am a pretty big fan, and I'm afraid he's probably going to die soon.
Should I go /mu/ or should I skip it? Anyone see him live recently?
>>74801856
My parents saw him a couple years ago. They said they were amazed how the guy still has the skills and still puts on long shows. Really got their money's worth. Of course this was at Billy Bob's in Fort Worth so he was playing to his people.
>>74801930
So would it be worth the $100?
>>74802323
He played four and a half hours straight. Barely any breaks, deep into the night. They were impressed. More than you get of the main event for most concerts.
But like I said, time and place. People near his home and it was a couple years ago. I don't know what shape he's in today. It was worth a hundred bucks then.
Whats everyone's opinion on The Residents?
High quality music for their first years
>>74801755
Nuke San Fran
>>74801755
70s Residents are god-tier but overrated, their 80s stuff is underrated, in my opinion I think their 90s stuff is memeshit while their modern stuff(post-00s) has been really good but not outstanding and a tad more serious
