>"Stop right there anon! You're not gonna take me on a date until you prove that you actually like good music like our mutual acquaintance claimed! I listened to that NMH thing you told me and it was total shit, so I'll be generous and assume you were just kidding, now tell me what do you listen to for real? And which Nirvana song would be perfect for a date? Lol what do you mean about Led Zeppelin stealing from the "biggest names in blues", that's false and I don't like those kind of jokes anon, Led Zeppelin is without fault and what the fuck is that shitty "blues" you talk about? Get real please or you wont get to date me!"
>>69689753
>doesn't acknowledge blues

behold, an entire thread dedicated to OP being a butthurt faggot
can someone explain me electronic music? or is there a flowchart or something?
i understand (and like a lot) hardcore like dj tron, delta 9, disciples of annihilation, etc.. and speedcore/terrorcore/extratone like frazzbass, komprex, etc. i also understand the digital hardcore stuff of alec empire & ATR... and psytrance.....breakcore i love it also (xanopticon is one of my favs).
but when they talk about techno, acid, house, etc i get lost... any onfo on that and all other styles related... was listening to some detroit techno for instance... and what the hell are artists like micropoint, mescalinum united and pcp label?
shoutout to the experimental hardcore like all stuff on fishkompf
Also bump. Give me some good electronic albums to listen to. I adore Aphex Twin. Not liking BoC.

he just released an ep and the collab track he did is getting kinda close to flashcore territory
if you like the harsher side of electronic music it might be kinda tough to get into techno, house, acid, etc. have you listened to any schranz?

>tfw roommate is a huge fucking plebbo
>when i asked him what music he likes he said that he doesn't like music besides electro swing
>listens to parov fucking stellar and nothing else, but only to like two or three tracks on repeat
>once heard me listening to liumin

>>69689316
Someone's upset
Tell him to listen to the album you idiot
U can kill urself for being an autist
just discovered shoegaze im pretty certain I'd be happy if I were to only listen to shoegaze for the rest of my life
the whole emotional versatility of guitar fuzz, from like meditative drones to sunny happy shit, to depressed detached shit. It's great. And normally I'm not like into the image of any style or whatever but even the whole blurry twee look gets to me, there's so many qts in these bands man
Welcome to your first day on /mu/, newfriend. Enjoy your stay.
>>69689314
shit slapps, pal
don't worry shoegaze gets old and samey after a couple months
>tfw starting to like jazz

>There are people who will refute EL-P is not a hack
Eminem. He is an actual piece of corn. Not even Hopsin or Tech N9ne can approach his level of corniness.
>>69689282
I'm one of them
What are you gonna do once every popular musician/band retires/dies?
This generation of music had no identity, there is no one to pass the torch to. Most new bands stay relevant for very little time, and they didn't brought up any new subculture with them so they're really not leaving any lasting fans.
It's a shame for those of us who also enjoyed the social aspect of music. Huge concerts, gathering with people to discuss music of a beloved artist. All of that will be gone in some years, the only thing left will be those pseudo hippie festivals and people showing small time bands to each other, because we failed at creating a new generation of long lasting musicians.
>tfw this will never happen again
>>69689161
go to bed grandpa
>What are you gonna do once every popular musician/band retires/dies?
live on
some other bands/groups will replace the old ones
wait until a semi-good band comes along and support them
I'm sure you've all realized by now that 'musicians' are the most self important, egotistical, narcissists on the face of the earth. Some of you must have some hilarious stories about some deluded 'artists' you have encountered in your musical travels?
>>69689003
>/mu/
>music travels
>How many guitarists does it take to screw in a light bulb?
>Just one, he hold the bulb and the world revolves around him
>>69689003
I run FoH at a medium size club that has tours come through fairly frequently. Pro musicians are just like normal people. Some are cool, some are dicks, most are just like everyone else.
One Direction > The Beatles
