What the hell are you saying? What bad ambient are you referring to?
I don't give a fuck about you asshole. I don't want to come to your part and I don't care what bands you like either (All Night Radio, The Like, Siouzsie & The Banshees, The Cure, Joy Division, (fucking "Joy Division", mindless pea-brained fuck!" My Bloody Valentine, Helio Sequence, Vietnam, Dead Meadow, Roxy Music, Nick Drake, Ariel Pink, R Stevie Moore, The Space Lady, John Maus, The Beach Boys, talking heads, esg, the clash, pixies, the streets, happy mondays, david bowie, Kylie Minogue, eno, the chameleons, nofx, john lennon, yoko ono, velvet underground, BEYONCE, a certain ratio, dirt little secret, can, Le Tigre, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, virgin killer, etc. etc. etc. STUPID! STUPID! STUPID! STUPID! Are you mindless fucks so dizzied and worn down by the blah, bland, bromidic, clichad, common, conventional, corn, corn-fed cornball, corny, dull, everyday, flat, ackneyed, ho-hum, hokey, hokum, kumdrum, insipid, no place, nothing, nowhere, old hat, ordinary, pablum, pedestrian, platitudinous, square, stale, stereotyped, stock, stupid, tired, tripe, trite, unimatinative, unoriginal, vapid, watery, wishy-washy nonsense which is popular music that it doesn't nauseate you?

Artists like Kanye? I've yet to find to an artist with lyrics and production like his, rapper or otherwise. Don't say Lupe Fiasco.
Pusha T
Drake
Common
OutKast
Jay-Z
Danny Brown
Travi$ Scott
Mos Def
Big Sean
A$AP Rocky
Desiigner
>>69771342
None of those artists are like Kanye, they're just associated with him. I'll give you Big Sean on his last album though.

XD Autism maymays aside, if it comes up in conversation with a qt grill what do you say?
>haha, I'm probably gonna sound like an elitist snob haha but I like a lot of stuff, a lot of earlier "indie" subgenres and some electronic music

What are your top jazz releases from 2016?
What do you think of Scaruffi's list? How many of these do you think he actually listened to?
does anyone actually listen to anything thats not 20th century hardbop
I haven't heard many jazz albums this year, but I enjoyed:
Shabaka and the Ancestors - Wisdom of the Elders
The Olympians - s/t
Melt Yourself Down - Last Evenings on Earth (jazz-punk)
Kaytranada - 99.9% (though more jazz-influenced hip-hop than improvised/instrumental jazz)
The only one I'm lukewarm on is 99.9% because of the mediocre guest features, though the instrumental cuts are intricate and infectious. the other albums are amazing on my list are amazing. haven't heard anything from Scaruffi's list.
>>69771231
>haven't heard anything from Scaruffi's list.
sounds exactly right. should put BBNG on your list too.
Name a better 90s album

How do normies and high class music professors react to Trout Mask Replica?
Most people just think it sounds like a hobo yarlin' over a bunch of retards having convulsions with their instruments, which is *kind of* correct.
It's still a great album though.
>>69770955
normies:
>I find it impossible to give this record an A because it is just too weird. But I'd like to. Very great played at high volume when you're feeling shitty, because you'll never feel as shitty as this record. B+
high class music professors:
>The overall meaning of the pandemonium in Trout Mask Replica is not only playfulness, or the negation of a meaning. The allegorical messages of Van Vliet's masterpiece are multiple, hidden by layers of abstractions that allow a cosmic-metaphysical interpretation, despite the author's pretense of illiteracy. These interpretations redirect the listener toward a form of apology for madness, to the primordial stages, and to chaos, counterposed against the monolithic order of technocratic society.
