From a lesser known musician (although he's growing in popularity and Aphex actually played him at his Houston set) I'd go with this:

Article: [Exclusive] AOA to work with Brave Brothers once again
Source: OSEN via Naver
1. [+276, -43] AOA has done band concepts and released songs produced by FNC but the AOA that the public remembers has a lot more to do with Brave Sounds. Brave Brothers is really good at playing up the charms of each and every member of AOA so I'm really looking forward to them working with him again.
2. [+221, -41] AOA and Brave Brothers have great chemistry so it's worth looking forward to
3. [+73, -5] Ooh, Brave Brothers!! Now I'm looking forward to the song ㅋㅋ
4. [+92, -12] Hurry on out Choa~
5. [+183, -43] That's a super plus for them
6. [+61, -4] I like Brave Brothers produced songs, can't wait
7. [+55, -3] Hopefully it's another hit song that can overtake 'Heart Attack'~~ fighting ㅎㅎ
8. [+55, -3] Now Brave Brothers is worth looking forward to ㅋㅋ this is good
9. [+52 -2] What more could you ask for other than these two put together ㅋ
10. [+52, -2] Wow so all of their hit songs have been with Brave Brothers

Reminder that obsessing over pedals and tone does not make you a better guitarist. it's why you're not very good....
Looking for a second guitar and not sure what to get. Tried a Tele for a while but the twang was not for me. I already have a Strat but I think I may just buy another as back up.

I didn't play with any pedals for years then I tried a multi one to mess with tones but hated it so much. I like the straight amp sound, and maybe an OD pedal but just for a volume boost.

If you don't have a guitar with humbuckers it'd be worth going that route imo. What's the point of buying the same model of guitar? You gig a lot?
Has /mu/ honored their queen Lavren Mayberry today?

Are you trying to imply something about her performance during the acoustic stage?
So I just discovered Snuper's 'Its Raining' because of Gayo last night. What other amazing bropop songs may I have slept on that were released this year?

Stop fucking with the OP! The discord can go though.
The point of these threads is to encourage people to look for new and interesting music. We do this by listening to and ideally discussing albums we've never heard before. Many of us already listen to new music daily, these people are in it to venture "out of their comfort zone" by listening to albums they otherwise wouldn't have, or just to have a good time.

Pixies - Head Carrier (2016)
>alternative rock
For how many good comeback albums there were this year, Pixies' attempt at one is among the most flaccid, least interesting albums I've heard in quite some time, even when you ignore the fact that this is an album by a once quite good band. For as much as I generally don't care for Black Francis' yelping, panicked vocals on Surfer Rosa and Doolittle, at least they had a lot of passion and energy, here he turns in an incredibly bored, boring vocal performance, sounding like a shell of his former self. Paz Lenchantin, while a good bassist (on other recordings at least), is pushed almost completely to the side here. The greatest part about Pixies is the interplay between Francis and Kim Deal. Sure, this interplay would now be missing no matter what, considering that Deal is no longer in the band, but Lenchantin's vocals on "All I Think About Now" prove that she could absolutely hold her own as a lead vocalist the way Deal was, but Francis seems hellbent on making this another Frank Black solo album rather than an actual Pixies album. Santiago and Lovering turn in decent performances, but their best work is most certainly behind both of them. I can gripe about the vocals and the instrumental performances all day long, but the most obviously horrendous thing about this album is the songwriting. In their prime, the band were absolutely phenomental songwriters. I love Surfer Rosa, and even though Doolittle isn't my cup of tea, "Debaser", "Here Comes Your Man", and "Monkey Gone to Heaven" are phenomenal pop songs with immediately catchy hooks. There's none of that here. All twelve songs here are boring, unmemorable slogs that don't deserve to have Pixies' name attached to them. Among my least favorite albums of the year, no doubt about it.
