ITT: albums that are objectively thrash
more like speed metal desu
>>70301897
nah senpai, Kill 'em All is thrash at its purest. Speed metal is more like Agent Steel or the first Helloween, which sound more like fast Iron Maiden
>>70301880
only good metal album
Please recommend singers with similar writing style and delivery to Micheal Gira. I love swans and listening to Micheal Gira's solo albums made me realize how much I enjoy his unique style of writing and delivery. Naturally that lead me to look for similar artists with little success other than classics I already knew like Nick Cave, Death in June, and Sister of Mercy.

Maynard James Keenan
This is pretty entry level but has the vocal delivery that you would expect in early swans

Serious replies only
>>70301163

It's too far gone, you won't be able to re-appropriate shit now

With their 3rd LP laying right around the corner, I think now is as good of a time as ever to discuss their discography. So /mu/, favourite Fleet Foxes album? Song? What do you hope for the next album?
reminder that lp2 is overrated
Helplessness Blues is easily their better album. Best song is a tie between The Shrine / An Argument and Blue Ridge Mountains.

Best by century:
12th - Hildegard von Bingen
13th - Perotin
14th - Machaut
15th - Dunstable
16th - Byrd
17th - Forberger
18th - Bach
19th - Beethoven
20th - Stockhausen
21st - Not that impressed so far. Making actual groundbreaking music has been transferred to "underground" music.

I imagine it'd be a good thing we don't talk about shitty p4k core
People were talking about this record all the time when I first started coming here a lot.

Funk/RnB don't get talked here a lot in general. Idk why. When these records do get brought they get a ton of respect here. Is it the general rockist trend within music journalism? Is it racial since more white attempts at funk like Talking Heads, Contortions, and FNM are talked about a lot comparatively? Is it because outside the really good LPs everyone knows, the best stuff often tends to be in singles releases?
Desert Island Disk is the best song on this album, with True Love Waits coming in at a close second and Ful Stop holding its own at third. Prove me wrong.
Protip: You can't
None of the songs you listed were present tense, burn the witch, or daydreaming

>Desert Island Disk
second worst track behind Tinker Tailor
Decks Dark is far superior

She's an angel
I think Divers is her best work desu.
She was great in Inherent Vice also, but I fucking love PT Anderson so it only makes sense.
The best artist of the 21st century so far.
