What albums does /mu/ listen to while you have sex?
Unironically I'll usually pop in a rotation of Carrie&Lowell, Songs by Leonard Cohen, and ItAotS. Pretty relaxing desu

Do you have to be an old fashion southern baptist to understand Swans?
More like you have to have experienced addiction, abuse, or know someone who has to understand Swans
My grandma was an old fashioned southern baptist except the black kind

Was Buddy the original punk rocker?
Lots of simple, fast, 3-chord, two-minute rock songs.
Distinctly "white" sounding (as opposed to the black R&B stuff).
If you were to crank his guitar up and play just a bit faster, you'd basically have the Ramones.
I think this is more deserving of the title "proto-punk" than the stuff on Nuggets.
>>70401680
I shouldn't be responding to such boring bait, but no. A lot of rock and roll sounded like Buddy Holly.
>>70401704
>A lot of rock and roll sounded like Buddy Holly.
Such as?
No, the whole point of punk was to try to bring rock back to that 'rock n roll' sound from the 50s and early 60s. Of course Buddy Holly would sound like that, because his style of rock influenced the punks.
Bought a few records off impulse today. What's a good entry level player you would recommend? Anything I should know before I continue burning my money on this stuff?
http://www.soundstagedirect.com/project-debut-carbon-dc-bstock-turntable-audio-equipment.shtml
Don't do it, it's a waste of money that could be spent on better headphones/speakers/hookers
yeah dont buy a crosley or the ones built to have like 5 features with a cd player cassette all in one;they are the mcmansions of record players
if you're just beginning, buy an lp-120 or shop for vintage parts-it's cheaper and sounds good b/c record players around that time were actually made for playing records
which one should I buy
>Pic kind of related
As in The MPC 500 or Sp-404
