What songs would you like to see in the GTA VI soundtrack? Assuming it's in Vice City.
I want it to take place in the 80s again. So put some Devo and Bad Brains in there.
Dance Gavin Dance

will probably be modern day Miami + the Everglades and Disney World for some flavor
they should pull a San Andreas and do 3 cities though: Miami, Orlando, and New Orleans?

American Primitive Guitar general - "this has never been done" edition
Maybe there are some of you here that would like to talk and discuss the music, people, and techniques of American Primitivism AKA American Primitive Guitar, the style of (mostly) solo acoustic steel string guitar playing founded and popularized by John Fahey. We could use these threads:
Discuss old and new AmPriv musicians
Post our own compositions, and have them critiqued by other AmPriv enthusiasts
Discuss techniques, guitar gear, and theory related to AmPriv
I'm going to try to create an essential list of AmPriv musicians and albums (unless someone else wants to)
Well, happy picking, bluesing, raga-ing, whatever you prefer in your AmPriv!
How do I get started playing/improvising?
Is it bad I refuse to categorize all of my American Primitive Guitar music to that from American Primitivism. Old habits die hard I guess.
>>70473201
I think it's as simple as just spending an hour or two every day just playing around. Find sounds you like, combine those with similar sounds
>>70473233
I use the terms interchangeably. I know a good deal of people dislike the term "American Primitivism" as it's sort of an extension of another art movement

I'm currently getting into Bablicon now, leaving of Montreal for last. What else am I missing? I've been meaning to update this, maybe even do a top 100 chart, can anyone give a hand/input?
ANY GENRE. JUST KEEP IT LOW VIEWED AND HIPSTER AS FUCK.
MUSIC SOUNDS BETTER WHEN LESS PEOPLE HEAR IT.

How are you creeps today?
RAP ANYBODY?
OKAY JUST KIDDING HAS ANYONE HEARD OF A LITTLE GEM CALLED RADIO HEAD?
How do I tune to drop D on guitar? Nothing I do makes the 6th string sound like the 3rd string I feel like the string will break
>>70472557
Tune it lower not higher
>>70472575
this m80 it should be the same note as the a string but in a lower octave
>>70472557
why would you want to play on that meme tuning anyway?
Hey guys, any artists/albums like this one with less screaming? This is awesome music but I think the amount of screaming takes away from it's brilliance.
>>70472513
pleb
you can't have DGD without the dumbass screaming it's half the appeal
>>70472536
I meant specifically this album. And no, people like different things about different music. This album is great musically and has some really good tunes, but they use too much screaming imo. That's why I'm asking if this type of contemporary music exists without screaming or with less screaming.
you might like chon and strawberry girls. Tera melos is cool if you dont mind mathy shit. Speed of sound in seawater is all clean vocals too i think
I just want someone with whom i can cuddle while we listen to My Bloody Valentine. Is that too hard to ask?? ;___;
>>70472325
you're not going to find them when you're posting on 4chan.
You have to go outside to find those types of people anon
stop being such a fucking tryhard. No girl wants a guy who constantly says "i wish i had a gf boo fucking hoo".
Explain why noise/industrial/power electronics is objectively bad without resorting to:
>it's not music, therefore it's shit
>i don't like it, therefore everyone must be pretending
>it's edgy
I'll wait.
there's no rhythm or beat. It's complete fucking madness
>>70472147
it's not "objectively" bad, but:
>grouping noise and and industrial as if they were the same thing
and more importantly
>i dont like it
>>70472147
There is nothing objectively wrong with PE (or any other genre of music for that matter.) It accomplishes what it sets out to achieve, which I assume is causing discomfort and shock in the listener. Most people aren't looking for that, so they avoid the genre. I don't know what else needs to be said.
