definitely more interesting and out there compared to the other big nu metal albums
still edgy fodder for budding teens though, which makes me wonder as to why this board wouldn't like it
This song is better than all of Slipknot's discography
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SrzNRa-PSag
Slipknot's first decent album was Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses. I don't know if the lack of swearing has something to do with it, but I cringe considerably less when listening to that.
What is the patrician version of Radiohead?
Coldplay
tool
Any of the influences they took from, and also depends on what era-period Radiohead we're talking about because they least you can say is that they did a bunch of shit and drew up from lots of different wells to make their stuff.
Like I can't say what the patrician version of The Bends truly is, and I sort of feel sorry for people who really over-exert themselves in trying to come up with one.
Post breakup albums. Thanks

808s & Heartbreak
>NEW GORILLAZ SONG
it's fucking shit
>NEW ARCADE FIRE
it's fucking shit
Has the time come when our generation's legendary groups plummet down the trash bin?
man i sure hope the new QOTSA record isn't shit
Personally I thought Gorillaz' was alright, at the very least.
>>70476516
probably. the ones that think they're important and intelligent and enlightened enough to give political commentary with their art will definitely plummet into shitdom. not that arcade fire hasn't done that already, but they're solidifying themselves as shitty musicians and self-righteous faggots with every turn. which faggot from that band was in the nba celebrity all star game and got political in the interview, was it win butler? lmao what punk ass bitch.
Which is more cringeworthy; rockism or poptimism?
Either person who feels more biased towards one side is just going to say the other
>>70476377
rockism
>>70476377
Neither of those terms mean anything.
If you listen to "genres" instead of music, then you're doing it wrong.
>tfw fall for the DMX meme, take roughly 600mg and feel nothing after an hour
Oh well
If I were actually robotripping, what would /mu/ suggest I listen to?
ditch the shitty cough syrup and take a real trip

Dammit I always mix those two up, fuck
Good song though
Why is MBDTF Kanye's most celebrated album? The College Dropout, Late Registration and arguably Yeezus (although it's more polarizing) are all better albums IMO. Redpill me on what MBDTF does better than anything else Kanye has made.
>>70475985
>Why is MBDTF Kanye's most celebrated album?
Beats me. It's incredibly bland / boring compared to the rest of his work.
>>70475985
I have no idea either. It's good, but it's not on the same level as Kanye's first three albums in my opinion.
Minority here, but I genuinely like 808's. Moreso than MBDTF too
Well, /mu/? Is he right?
>problematic
i never read anything that appears after this word
>His favorite song was El Scorcho
Absolutely delusional human being
who cares, art can be all those things and still be good
fuck off
>>70475747
except that one wasn't good either
>>70475747
No not really, and the only reason FDT was tolerable was because it had the vibe of a regular diss track as opposed to some self important horseshit.

>White male teenagers get out
>tfw responsible for about 40% of the memes currently being spammed on this board
what are some albums about social engineering and manipulation?
>tfw responsible for about 40% of le funny pictures spammed by teenagers on this board
what are some albums about social anxiety and autism?
>>70475690
if you made the fanboy and chum chum meme i fucking hate you with an ungodly passion.
>tfw responsible for about 40% of mediocre female musicians currently being spammed on this board
what are some albums about being a beta?
Been listening to Transatlanticism a lot recently and it is a very good album, but I barely see it mentioned on here.
who /postalservice/ here?
>>70475665
They were really only good until Transatlanticism. After that it was a steep decline. The guitar work got way more boring and the songwriting and production seemed aimed more towards pop hits than the previous work. Something about airplanes and Photo album are my shit though.

Last time this pic was posted in a thread, 5,000 people asked what the source was and there was no answer. There had better be some fucking sauce this time, OP.
What's the best way to get into more traditional jazz music like swing or big band? I want to get away from the 5 or 6 concept albums from the 50s and 60s that rockists form all jazz discussion around here (pic related).
>>70475103
Listen to stuff from the 78rpm era. There are CD re-issues of a decent amount of old shit. Listen to "A Study in Frustration" if you want somewhere good to start.
>>70475103
>I don't know what a concept album is
>I don't know what a rockist is
>I don't care about music, but its fanbase
OP, go away.
Louis Armstrong - Complete Hot Fives And Hot Sevens
Duke Ellington - The Blanton-Webster Band
Duke Ellington - The Far east Suite
Charlie Parker - Dial And Savoy Master Takes
Charlie Parker - Verve Master Takes
Chico Hamilton - Gongs East
Outside Far East Suite and Gongs East, the rest are all compilation records compiling essential pre-50s stuff.
Anyone in nyc wana make a punk band?
