ITT: the moment in an album where it sounds exactly like the cover
>Oh Mama, is this the end? To be stuck inside a mobile with the Memphis blues again
Entirety of Dramamine. MM's opening tracks usually do a good job of summing up the album in a nutshell.

>it's another one of those "listing states and/or cities in the American South" memes
might as well be stuck inside of chelmsford with the bristol blues for all the sense that line makes
probably summertime clothes
AND I WISH-
*synth and beeps and woovey listening*
Giving this a listen for the first time all the way. Only knew the more popular riffs from it beforehand. Holy shit, this is far more unsettling than not only their more well known work, but even stuff like TVU&N. I mean yeah it's one thing if it's Zappa, AMM, Red Krayola, USA, or Beefheart doing it from that time. But I had no clue Pink Floyd themselves were into this shit.
>unsettling
It's a normal psych pop album. There's really nothing unsettling about it.
>I had no clue Pink Floyd themselves were into this shit
It was largely just Barrett.
>>70493854
That's probably why people here like it so much, and why normies usually gloss over it. It's not exactly hard to get into, but it's just not what you'd expect from such an established mainstream band. I'd say listen to their second album, infact most of their early works are fucking great and so are Barrett's solo albums if you like the whimsical lyrics and style.
>>70493918
Nah yo. Like yeah a lot of the tracks are poppy psych stuff, but Astronomy Domine, Pow R. Toc H., and Interstellar Overdrive are what convinced me to make this topic. Lots of weird kinda dissonant play there with various techniques, odd note choices, and stereo effects.
>>70494010
Yeah definitely gonna do that next. I started with Meddle when it came to Floyd years back.
Post two albums with similar covers, anons say what's the better album

Try Unwound - The Future of What or Repetition
>>70494616
Long shot but if you like St. Vincent and NOTM you could try Aoki Takamasa + Tujiko Noriko - 28 for glitchy pop stuff
idk much about drone metal, you probably know Boris but if not they rule

>Move of ten
Interesting choice. How does it compare to Oversteps? I just finished listening through their studio albums and I'm starting on the EPs now
Disco Inferno is pretty cool if you want weird plunderphonic pop post rock stuff
>bands where the moat popular song is the best
riders on the storm
Plug In Baby
Dunno if that's their MOST popular, I hear Light my Fire and Break on Through on the radio more then that one.
Break on Through and Light My Fire are more popular
I'm looking for some melancholic piano music. Piano/string duo would be even better

This is hop hop album of the decade
in fact its the nihilist anthem
Future proves on this album that no god exists nothing in life matters.
One of the best albums of the decade and IMO the absolute pinnacle of trap. Probably the most brilliant atmosphere I've ever heard on a rap album, ever.
>>70493145

Most influential album of the 10's, in any genre
