>Lemonade (2016), 4/10. The genre-hopping Lemonade (Parkwood Entertainment, 2016) was another attempt to promote her to auteur. An industry artifact with no personality, Beyonce swings between the playful reggae of Hold Up and the gospel hymn Freedom via the piano elegy Sandcastles. Best is probably Don't Hurt Yourself, which is quintessential Aretha Franklin. The collaboration with James Blake yields two of the most boring ballads of his career. All the media hype does little to make this album more than a marketing project. In fact, it's even less musical than Beyonce. She's a mediocre singer and an awful songwriter, and no amount of production work can fully hide that. The accompanying video includes spoken-word interludes of poetry by Somali-British poet Warsan Shire.

>is he right, /mu/?
no
He's literally never wrong
No. He never is. The only time I ever see people talk about him is when they're bashing his shitty criticism or the beatles copypasta.
Stop trying to take him seriously.
What does /mu/ think of Bush?
LITALL LITALL LITALL LITALL LITALL LITALL
I got sixteen stone on CD at a thrift store. I've been putting off listening to it.
I honestly don't mind them, but I do wonder how responsible they are for how awful post-grunge is... they were legitimately interested in grunge/punk music before it got big and were going to Mudhoney shows. They liked that dirty, garagey sound, but wanted to use it for more singer/songwriter type stuff. And the singer happened to be really good looking. But it's like as soon as record execs saw that, they knew they had a winning formula, hence the introduction of tons of shallow, shitty hard rock bands adopting it like Creed, Nickelback, etc. To his credit, at least he didn't steal the Vedder yarble like those other guys
What's the first song you listened to today?
>Bark Psychosis - Pendulum Man

(Anon's Dream)
"I keep having this dream where Kanye puts out a new albums called "The Death of Pablo" It's just 4 songs, Ultralight Wall, Washed Up, Father Stretch My Hands pt. 3 and Fade pt. 2
They are all around 20 minutes. It sounds like the originals but just 20 times darker in both lyrics and production also, Fade pt. 2 has 10 minutes of Kanye talking about his innermost fears and what happens when you die after a few minutes of silence"
This is my contribution/edit of all the data and work that has been put into the project so far. I myself didn't make the tracks, I simply combined all the clyps and bits of people so far into one collective set of links etc.

>"Remember guys, we're trying to make a cohesive 4 track long album, with movements within each song. Add onto what other people have done, and make sure to sample the songs each track is based on:
Ultralight Wall - Ultralight Beam
Washed Up - Famous and Waves
FSMH Pt. 3 - FSMH Pt. 1 and Pt. 2
Fade Pt. 2 - Fade"
Oh yeah, I also made an email adress for any downloadable contributions, credits for the artists, etc to send to me so we know who did what, when etc.
Remember to be specific with your name and what you made if you really care for the credit, and include download links to everything you want to contribute to for me to put on The Death of Pablo Dropbpox for people to use, sample mix etc.

Why, I fixed the thread cause the previous one was unfinished.
For Washed Up, maybe cut out the part with the heavily distorted bass and put at the end after the interview? Also maybe for the interview we could have a really slowed down version of the Famous instrumental.

Districts 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 9, 10, and 11 are good.
Districts 5 and 8 have a shot if they don't fuck things up.
Fuck district 4.
District 12 has Antz. I think we're all rooting for them.
Contrarian Edition
Post your AOTY if it has fewer than 700 ratings on RYM. No disrespect to anyone, here. Not saying other albums are bad or that popularity has any correlation with quality. But we don't need to see another AOTY thread with Danny fucking Brown and David fucking Bowie. We know they exist, it's cool. Let's go for something different. Hopefully people will find some new classics they missed last year.

Come on, douches, help out the cause

Protip: If NOTM or GP are your favorite DG albums, you're not a real Death Grips fan.
because its their music at it's most introverted, and most experimental form.
