Are these two the logical conclusion to hip-hop?
>>71049131
Are these what Scaruffi have said are good?
>>71049153
he literally said they were the logical conclusion of hip-hop.
>>71049131
Yeah, everyone can stop talking about hip-hop now. Thank god.
I don't understand this band, or at least this album ... please enlight me
>>71048958
you just have to be real mad and listen to it really loud. having a beer or two while listening to it will also help
>>71048958
be a piece of shit for once in your life.
The guitar work on it is catchy as hell, and if you like other angry noisy rock I don't see why you wouldn't like this also. Think the Jesus Lizard or Drive Like Jehu.
post, rate, rec, guess shit... etc

Gary Numan and Sisters Of Mercy are great
Not sure what to think of Deftones
>>71048855

You need some early Grimes albums on that chart
>>71048895
That John Maus album is pretty much perfect.
Anyone have the Future album m4a?
>>71048947
Link please.
>>71048959
wait, who's future?
How'd he get so many features on his first album without a label? And how is he so applauded with so many songs having different people on? I quite like the album so far tho

Did Avey Tare come out as gay on the last track on this new AnCo EP? It's obviously about a relationship with a man.
>>71048509
You mean the cover of a song that was originally by a woman?
>>71048509
He has a very gay face.
>>71048527
Who cares? Why would he cover the song if he didn't share the same feelings?
we all beat each other off saying that LR is awesome
>>71048481
It's his third best
CD=808=MBDTF>LR=YEEZUS>TLOP=GRAD
>>71048481
I love the album so much I just wish it didn't have the skits.
>>71048489
*second best

>808s higher than Fantasy AND LR
What did he mean by this??
Hey /mu/. There's an artist I work with frequently who recently got contacted by a "A&R firm" to release an EP. We both have little to no experience with the business side of music so we're treading very carefully.
From the research I've done into the company I can tell that it's legit and has pushed some "notably" independent artists who are now signed to major labels. He said that he can get his music on blogs, radio, articles from the US, AUS, NZ & the UK.
The problem is that the company wants 800$ up front fee. And a further 1000$ to be paid off.
Again, we have little knowledge of the business side. Is it bullshit? Should we just wait and release music independently?
Thanks, /mu/.
up front, payment is a sketchy business practise see if you can get in contact with any of the artists they claim to have worked with because signing in an indie label then moving usually means the indie label was shit just be careful anon much love
>>71048373
>paying to be promoted
S C A M
>>71048430
>>71048439
thanks man. We really have no idea what we're doing. I always thought that a label would give you money to create a project while they promote you and you'd pay it off from album sales, touring, march etc.
I don't think they're "signing" him per say. From what I've read in the back and forth emails they want to release an EP.
Is there a reason why so much modern music isn't mastered well? I'm not an audiophile so I don't care as much but I'm curious.
why bother

Is there, in all honesty, any other prog album that even comes close?
Also, /prog/ general.
>>71047900
yeah loads of stuff
most good period yes albums are a lot better than than. ctte, tales, relayer. i used to love genesis but they have shrunk on me a bit. decent tho
Selling England is one of my favourites and definitely in my top 3, but prog albums aren't a linear contest. You can hardly compare Selling England to Lark's Tongue or to Pawn Hearts.
Also, /prog/ related, something I found on Youtube two weeks ago:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FIGH4Sa12PQ
No, this is the best desu
>tfw post my favorite album on /mu/
>someone says my favorite album is shit and calls me a pleb for liking it
>don't listen to that album ever again
>>71047701
You're a pleb for having stop listening to it
(I have a feeling that the grammar in that sentence is broken as fuck)
>>71047701
Can't be that bad. What's your favorite album?
>>71047739
Britney Spears Oops!... I Did It Again
why is this album so boring
Because it's yet another overrated negro rap piece of shit
Because autists who like Danny Brown can't into grown man rap.
>>71048307
Whatever you say cletus.
