fucking awful chart
now delete this post
The idea that music can make you dumb implies that there exists music that can make you smart, which is fucking retarded.
SAT scores are a retarded way to measure intelligence
I didn't give a shit about the SAT and score a 1390. now I work a dead end job doing customer service because I'm a lazy fuck that refuses to challenge himself

Beck's Bolero.

good one but I'd pick this since I love the energy and the fast tempo of it. especially the part at 1:40, shame they never used more than the first 30-40 seconds of it in paprika https://youtu.be/1X4YQEgWJsw
So is this a battle of life and death thread or is it just a Susumu Hirasawa circlejerk?

Family Business. Moving on.

Through the Wire
Hey guys. Pretty new to the metal genre, but I've been listening to a lot of Boris, The Body, Earth, Beelzebong, Electric Wizard, Sunn O))) and so on, and I really like the super-heavy, super-low-end sound from them.
So where do I go from here if I'm looking for the heaviest, most visceral wall-of-sound doom metal I can find? I want bands and albums that sound like mountains collapsing and continents sliding back into the ocean.
Thanks /mu/
(Disclaimer: neither of these are doom) Maybe listen to some black metal like Paysage D'Hiver (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIybJwOSBv8) or grindcore like Nails (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nj5pbV5J82A)
But desu you're stressing the heaviness and wall-of-sound aspects, perhaps you might want to check out some noise music?
>>71113104
No noise rock I've heard so far really scratches the itch. I just want massive waves of low-end heavily distorted guitars and bassy drums.
Something in the vein of these videos
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTXDLifjTUY
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0hkBqxhT3BE
If there are any bands that are known for low-end drone that would probably work, too. Like I said, I'm pretty new to the genre. That Paysage D'Hiver track is pretty fucking good, though.
>>71113034
Check out The Goslings, namely their albums Between the Dead and Grandeur of Hair. Wouldn't really consider them metal, but definitely noisy, and sometimes droney.

How DARE you?
Eminem is THE greatest rapper EVER in HISTORY.
And if you disagree with me I'll just post pictures of rappers saying they like him so you HAVE to agree with me how amazing he is. Also I'll defend Encore and Relapse like they're my own children even though they're medio-IMEANPERFECT.
