This is the most important album of the 21st century so far.
The only album of his that I actually like. Not the most important but certainly a good mixture of rap/hip hop/electronic in a really creative way.
Definitely not the most important, but still a great album

Statements like this made me hate the modern left.
So I noticed theres no music groups running in Ireland. nothing like Sadboys or even something like The Pocket Pact on soundcloud.
Would there be any interest in starting something like this? Just wanna know like minded people in the Irish music scene.
>>71280430
Not sure what you mean by music groups.
>>71281848
Like sadboys, the way they all work in the same group and help eachother with music or even just an umbrella group to band together and help eachother

What about the Celtic music scene?

So are these the official holy trinity of jazz?
>>71280201
There is no such thing.
They're RYM's Holy Trinity.
They might very well be /mu/'s
but what would you even mean with 'official'

Why do people hate Graduation?
It's his most popular album
too pop for hiphop audience
too hip for pop audience
>>71279594
Surely that would be Dark Fantasy.
>>71279600
I dunno, top 40 pop music was already using hip hop/electronic instrumentals at this point. Could be mistaken.
Thoughts on this album?
FUCKING STOP

A pretty good album for shitposting idiots
Have never listened to it in my life, nor will I ever do so.
Do you love your queen Lavren mu
>>71279374
Of course. Collab with Grimes, when?
>>71279374
I love her,
>>71279641
NEVER! I hope. Based Lauren shouldn't collaborate with that thing.
Share, listen, critique, don't be a fucking shill/shit

This is a 7-minute instrumental single about rain, depression and animu girls. Lots of synthwave influences and some other retro shit. Sparse use of samples. Posted it yesterday, didn't get much attention, so here I am again. Hope you guys like it, I'll be lurking around to post feedback on other songs/albums
Howdy!

Had a listen and it's not for me. Like, at all. But from what I can hear - it's solid and well mixed too.

Nice piano sound. Is it live recorded or a VST?
The improvisations aren't something I'd listen to in a daily basis, but they're very good. Would fit well in a movie soundtrack. Sitting down for a piano improv session can do wonders for my mood, btw
Other than Talking Heads and the two that came after it, what other stuff sounds like this?
only king crimson and talking heads
certain primus stuffs maybe?

Warp, Rephlex, Planet Mu, Editions Mego, the list goes on.
>what /bloop/ is for
- IDM; from first wave ambient techno material to the later drill & bass and breakcore stuff.
- certain forms of techno, such as: dub techno, detroit techno, industrial techno (only some of it, not all of it)
- other forms of leftfield house/techno electronica that is either downtempo or experimental in nature.
>what /bloop/ is NOT
- /bloop/ is not /bleep/. Don't post "bangers" or things that "bang @ the club"; even though plenty of the music posted in /bloop/ is also suitable for a club setting, /bloop/ is predominantly for home listening music and not just club music bangers.
- /bloop/ is not for PC Music, Vaporwave, or Arca-esque experimental bass music - stuff like that belongs to a separate general dedicated to post-internet music known as /blip/.
- /bloop/ is not /groove/. Trip-hop, nu-jazz, acid jazz and the like are not /bloop/ unless they're leftfield or remotely experimental; for example Amon Tobin and Wagon Christ classify as /bloop/, while Funki Porcini and Bonobo do not.
>what to do in /bloop/
Post tunes that you like, share recommendations, communicate with like-minded individuals about music that you like.

So /bloop/ is basically ''non-club techno''.
