xxxtentacion is going big on soundcloud. Is he inventing a new genre of rap?
>I'm like bitch who is your mans, eh

Damn...
no he's just a huge teen suicide fanboy who's intergrating their "I'm sad and scream sometimes" thing into his trappy hip hop thing in florida
not even kidding. his upcoming album is named after their first release, and he's sampled them a few times

When did you realize that The Rolling Stones and The Kinks are better than both?
Compilations like this, but for other genres
Nobody outside of this board thinks Phil Spector is good
compilations are for plebs
compilations are great, only fools don't like them
>listening to art-punk
>imagine myself grooving and jiving awkwardly to the unnatural polyrhythms with my equally awkward gf
>listening to minimal synth
>imagine myself calmly gliding over nocturnal city-streets to those syrupy synths with my equally calm gf
>listening to shoegaze
>imagine myself laying in bed and getting lost in the soft noise with my gf
>no gf
It hurts so much.

When did U2 become the most hated band in America? Even like a decade ago, their output had become pretty bland but they were still popular among a lot of people despite Bono's antics being the target of lots of hate.
Nowadays, every mention of them is negative, they have zero impact on not only the Top 40, but very little on the mainstream rock/alternative rock/AAA spectrum of music. And nobody seems to like them anymore or at least they aren't willing to be open about it. Even in the context of their classic material. They still do well with tour grossing, though the 2009 one was their peak.
Bono.
No question about it.
Bono.
It used to be just Bono that got the hate but then they put their album on everyone's phones and that pissed people off.

When they violated iPhones by putting in their mediocre album without telling or asking.

The point of these threads is to encourage people to look for new and interesting music. We do this by listening to and ideally discussing albums we've never heard before. Many of us already listen to new music daily, these people are in it to venture "out of their comfort zone" by listening to albums they otherwise wouldn't have, or just to have a good time.
