I'm looking to get into Nick Cave.
So far I've listened to Henry's Dream, Push the Sky Away and Skeleton Tree.
Which of his earlier works would you recommend?
tender prey and let love in
boatman's call is his best work overall tho
>>71154999
I'd say Let Love in is his most accessible work. It's also my favourite.
>>71154999
I don't think he has a bad album so all of it.

>>71333282
what albums did the Beach Boys release after this?
Why is let it be considered their final album?
The Beatles abandoned it. They release Abbey Road and split.
Then outsider parties are allowed to temper with their abbandoned material and officially release it as their final album? Wtf!
>>71154439
But Let It Be has some amazing beautiful songs...
because it was released less than a month after they broke up
Some good tracks on it though
Couldn't image The Beatles' legacy without The Long And Winding Road, Get Back (which was a single actually iirc) or Let It Be
"The downfall of the music industry came about chiefly because of mass corporate marketing. When I was coming up, the music world was controlled by the individual scenes and their dedicated fans. Today that doesn't exist; instead record companies use marketers and focus groups to give the masses what they want, and you can see the results."
>>71333157
funny because oasis are the most corporate manufactured band of the 90s. 100% calculated and yet with all that industry push they still ended up one hit wonders. That's how much they suck.
Oh joy, it's another bitter old has-been yelling at a cloud.

Any drummers have experience living with other drummers?
I think on the one hand, it'd be cool to live with a musician that spoke the same language as me, but on the other, I could see practice time being an issue. I don't think drums playing would bother me sleeping, but I don't have trust that other people would be as chill about it, and also I play for like 3 hours or more a day, so it'd be really frustrating to be gearing up to practice and my roommate starts jamming and now I have to wait an hour or two.
Have any drummers lived with another drummer? I'm considering it, but it's already hard to find places where I can comfortably drum when I want and I feel like it would be really frustrating
>>71153354
shameless self bump
>>71153354
Why don't you guys buy a communal electronic drumset for quiet practice time.
>>71153354
I bought a kit for the first time in years for me and my bro, my dad taught us how to play as kids
He doesn't mind when I play it, as long as it's not in the middle of the night or early morning
We have different work schedules which is nice, he'll play when I'm gone and I'll play when he leaves.
Fucker cracked my cymbal though, man pearl makes such shit cymbals
wtf is this shit
The reason I stopped using Spotify.
>tfw I have to install that shitty desktop app
i don't mind the redesign, i primarily use the app since i have premium but when i tried using the desktop player today on firefox, it doesn't work at all. music don't play. tried chrome and music only plays for like 10 seconds then stops.
what's the most trendy music right now?
